What is the cheapest airline to get to Brazil from UK/Europe?

I want to go for Carnival in February in Salvador da Bahia - if I have to go to Rio etc. first I'll get an internal flight, but what's the cheapest (return ticket) option?? I went with Air France 2 years ago for €700 return, but that offer was only for under 25s.... Thanks!!

Yes I thought flying via Spain/Italy was cheaper. Obviously I don't mind that since I can go there for a tenner first. But which airline and which deal should I go for?

Oddly enough, if you travel via Madrid, its a lot cheaper! Crackers but true!
