This is a very common problem.
The shape of your belly has nothing to do with the amount of fat you are storing, nor with how much you weigh. People often use the words WEIGHT, FAT, SIZE, and SHAPE interchangeably. They are all different issues, and each of them can be changed without affecting the others.
When you were pregnant, your expanding uterus stretched out the muscles in your belly. Modern lifestyles don't prepare these muscles very well to cope with extreme events like that, so they usually take a long time to adapt, both during the pregnancy and afterwards when they need to change their behaviour again.
Your own habits of movement affect the process, too. If you were very active before becoming pregnant, and remained active throughout, then your abdominal muscles will have learned new patterns of behaviour. These habits will persist until you stimulate the muscles to act in an opposite way (your body doesn't know how soon it will need the same strategy again). If you became more active, or less active, while pregnant than you were before, your body will be even more confused.
For example, a lot of people develop a habit of arching the lumbar spine, to reduce the pressure that a growing pregnancy (or, in men, a bigger 'beer belly') puts on their breathing. This causes back pain (sometimes many years later), but it also teaches the 'core' (waist) muscles to regard this arched position as 'normal'.
If this is something that you have done, then you can reduce your risk of long-term back injury by developing the opposite habit. Pilates classes will teach you a 'pelvic tilt' or 'pelvic curl', which gradually gets rid of the lumbar arch ('hyperextension'), and allows your back, torso, and abdominal muscles ('body core') to operate more effectively together. This movement will also start to re-educate your abdominakl muscles.
To reduce a bulgey belly, you need to strengthen the two abdominal layers that cross over your belly in an X shape. These muscles ('obliques') are mainly used when you twist your waist from side to side. Before you were pregnant, you probably 'wiggled' your hips (relative to your ribcage) while walking, more than you do now. Pregnancy prevents this kind of movement, and it is not usually re-learned afterwards.
You can get a rotating platform to use at home, for doing exercises a bit like 'the twist'. Some gyms have a bigger version of the same thing, with a handle in front so you can hold your upper body still while rotating your legs and hips from side to side.
Singing exercises can also help, by teaching you to use(posture and) muscular pressure within your abdomen. Good posture and intra abdominal pressure are controlled by another abdominal layer ('transversus'), which isn't involved at all in movement; it only acts like a corset across your belly.
Activities that move your hips and ribs in opposite directions can help too, because they let you do extra work on the same muscles without feeling like you are constantly working out. Salsa, bellydance and capoeira all involve a lot of hip rolling and other waist movements which activate the muscles that determine the shape of your waist

I would advise against trying to lose weight by not eating a lot. If you eat less than 1,000 to 1,200 calories each day, your body goes into defense mode and it starts storing fat, which is the opposite of what you want to happen. Eat a healthy, balanced diet and continue your exercise routine and you will gradually get to where you want to be. I was in the same situation as you a few years ago after I had my son. It took me about a year and a half to get my belly back to my pre-pregnancy size. It sounds like you are on the right track. Keep up the good work!

u need to eat to have the strength to look after yr baby, dont starve yrself. eat healthily plenty of fruit and veg and try to avoid chocolate and high fat foods. your fat tummy is probably due to the fact that yr muscles need toning, they get very stretched during pregnancy. some cardio work and exercises specifically aimed at yr tum such as crunches shd do the trick, but take it easy theres no rush. if u had any problems during pregnancy or after check with yr doctor before doing exercise also they may be able to give u some advice anyway. good luck and be patient.

The tummy will just take longer. it is natures favourite fat storing place, so it will just take longer to lose the extra fat.
Keep doing what you are because you have gotten results, and be patient.
Exercise enough and eat accordingly.
Forget about starving for it will only make matters worse if you enter starvation mode. So, be careful, be smart, eat well and quality meals (reduce fats and sugars, also in drinks), and you will regain your old tummy.
Congrats on the baby!!!

I would suggest a cleansing diet. I learned that cleansing will help the body get rid of toxins. Toxins come from a lot of things like fast food, pollution, food additives and preservatives and lots of other things. The toxins get stored in the fat in our body. To get rid of the fat, we have to get rid of the toxins by cleansing the body. This made sense to me and I decided to try a cleanse program and it worked. The weight came off fast and this kept me motivated to keep going. Check out following link for more details about different cleansing methods:

Good luck!
