Not necessarily. Poetic language is often employed to heighten the sense of something, however I would not consider that lying. Lying is the purposeful act of deceiving by using methods of omission or commission.

A LIE..... is Always ..... A LIE!

I worked for 5-Years as a Field Service Engineer! I aways emphasized that I was Non-Degreed.... but was given that Title as my Job Description.... BY MY EMPLOYER due to 20-Years Experience!

I worked with many Engineers to ensure Product Completion with the use of our machinery and equipment!

Never ONCE.... did I let anybody believe that I was something more ..... than I was!
