I live by the King James Version. The Bible says not to add or take anything away from it. The NIV version has omitted John 5:4 and Acts 8:37 from it's version. It doesn't even replace it, the verses are just gone. Check for yourselves. There may be more omissions in other versions, those are just the ones I am aware of. I am still studying.

I use the KJV also. The "Life Application Bible" which you can get the different versions of the bible in, (I still use the KJV) has the scriptures broken down with insights and explanations of what the verses mean. I love that part best, because I often have a hard time understanding what some verses are saying. lol

Okay, this is my view on the bible, there is only one bible, The Bible, published by Jehovah's witnesses, all other or MOST bibles are changed, Do you know gods name? i dont think so if so you are lucky, hes name is Jehovah, one of the scriptures that arent changed is psalms 83:18 but some have done that too, go, read your bible it will state, For you whose name is Jehovah you alone are the most high over all the earth. I read one at the start of this year, saying like the highest over all the earth is the lord, not true!!! i mean, Jehovah our god gave everything the name he knows the hairs of out head he gives every star a name? and your saying hes name is the lord? I DONT THINK SO! If you actually look at the real deal youll find out, you will. For you people think that God makes all the bad happen, not TRUE, Satan, the first rebel in the world is the ruler he wants to make all true witnesses turn their back on Jehovah, the people who go everyone goes to heaven or if ur bad u go to hell, another wrong, only 144,00 are going to heaven, the annointed, says that in the bible too. Okay you may think your an expert about everything in the bible and this stuff is good but you have an idea and you have something to say about this, guess what? im 13 and i know this stuff, so i cant tell you everything why? coz im 13, but i know that no matter where you are, well almost anywhere you are, there is a Kingdom hall of Jehovahs witnesses near you. I could tell you allot more, and im sure this aroused your curiosity, so if you want to know more go to a kingdom hall, and you will see GENUINE brotherly love, and lots of kids like me knowing lots of this knowledge, even though i do know allot more than average kids my age, you will find lots of people lots and lots, and anyone, yes anyone would be happy to study you, well if they are qualified they can, and if they havent got something really big going on.

Mine as well is the KJV, however I will not say it is inspired. For example:
Act 12:4 And when he had apprehended him, he put [him] in prison, and delivered [him] to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to thepeople.
Easter was a pagan holiday made Christian. Where do you find anything about rabbits and eggs in the bible :)
But I do believe it to be the most accurate, and trustworthy. I always will look back to the Greek and Hebrew if I am in a study though. If you like you can go to www.blueletterbible.com and there you can pick the version you like the best and it will give you the original text as well with an accurate meaning of the original words. Its a great help when in study.
God bless

I have KJV. What I can't figure out is why do people LOVE Shakespeare, and it is considered beautiful and poetic language, but they wont even crack open a King James Version Bible, when it is the same style of writing with King James English?
People truly have their eyes closed when it comes to Biblical truth.
Even as a historical document and as a literary work, The Bible by far surpasses any literary work ever written

A half-dozen times over the years I have read the KJV--I came of age in the South--but at age 9 it was clear to me that to 'live by' it would be contrary to my humanist bent. In short, dear heart and beautiful person, I am an atheist who left the South and its religious addiction many years ago. You were kind to ask, and I wish you comfort and joy over all of your days. Be well.

There all the same really, just say the same thing a bit diffrient. not nessisarly wrong ither. Its just how you understand it best.
I use alot of versions
KJV
NKJV
NIV
TNIV
ASV
MSG
MSG//remix2
RSV
Just to name a few.
you gota look at Hebrew and Greek too to get better understanding of verses and words used.\
Peter do you love me?
Peter do you love me?
Peter do you love me?
rember when Jesus asked that, he didnt say the same word 3 times, he said a difrient word. there where 3 difrient words for love used there, each was significant.
thats why you need to look at heb/greek to understand more.
study to show yoursef aproved by God.
God bless.
