Yes. Toner balances the PH level of your skin. It's best to use it after cleansing 2x a day.
Burts bees has a great toner that smells like roses. They also have an excellent lettuce toner. Relatively inexpensive. Otherwise Dermalogica has a fantastic one called MultiActive Toner. Good for any skin condition and type.

I have started using a professional grade toner "Maxatone" from Solvaderm brand. It is a daily purifying facial toner that removes skin-dulling impurities without harsh or drying ingredients. This intensive skin-correcting hydrating toner is ideal for acne-prone or oily complexions.

toning your skin is very VERY important. You should wash your face, pat dry, and allow the rest to air dry. Then follow with a toner. The importance of toner is to close up the pores you just opened while washing your face. You just cleaned those pores out so you don't want them to be open for more junk to get inside of them. I use BeautiControls toner because it doesn't have any alcohol. It won't dry out your skin but leaves you feeling refreshed. I absolutely love it. www.beautipage.com/jwhittey

A toner is not needed. However, if you have acne, a toner with salicylic acid such as the Oil of Olay toner in the blue bottle with give you the benefit of clearer skin.

Skin toners are good for your skin. A good skin care regimen consists of cleansing, toning and moisturizing. Toners remove excess cleansers and oils from your skin, refresh your skin, tighten your pores, balances the skin's pH balance and prepares your skin for moisturizing. My first choice of toners is witch hazel. It's very good, very gentle and can be used for many other things (rashes, sunburns, razor burn etc.). My second choice would be Neutrogena which is also very gentle. Hope this helps.
