I got my first bible when I was a a kid about 4 years old, at that time my bible was with pictures, even if I can't understand it the bible stories served as my bed time stories read by my father. Then I got challenged to read the whole bible when I was 10 years old and until now I can't finish it. That time I had a new bible, it was little then I got another one (the big one). After that I had the youth bible. I finished some books in the bible and now I'm trying to finish the book of Mark...The bible always served as my guide whenever I feel bad or I need guidance...The bible is quite interesting, I can learn many things from and it's the same as watching a long film. It's very interesting and there's just something in it that when you read it it's like going back to past and talking to God.

Hello, Wendy:
I got my first Bible when I was ten. It was a small Gideon New Testament.
I wanted so much to be a Christian and was baptized. But as I read that Bible, it just did not make sense. You see, God calls us when He knows circumstances are right and it would be another 23 years before He called me to service. I'm now a missionary with my wife in the tropics.
God opened up a love for His Word, and I have read ten different translations and studied much history. He also revealed a hidden Bible code that restores primitive doctrines and proves Jesus is the Messiah. If you are interested, e-mail me.
Shalom, peace in Jesus, Ben Yeshua

Not counting the Children's Bible I had as a very little girl, my first proper Bible was a paperback copy of the NAB (St. Joseph's edition), given to me at age 7 while I prepared for my First Penance and First Eucharist. That particular copy has long since gone to dust, but I still use the same translation for most of my reading, and it is, of course, the translation used at Mass in North America.

I got my first "My First Bible" when I was only 7. I don't know who tried to brainwash me at such an early age (since my parents are Catholic/Agnostic [meaning both at the same time]). Perhaps it was that neighbor who was always preaching all over the place. Maybe he accidentally dropped it over the fence. I don't know. It was actually very interesting with pictures and stuff. My favorite one was Noah with the ark and animals. There were lions, zebras, giraffes, and all sorts of creatures. Actually I had that bible for ages but I lost it when we moved to a new house.

I got my first Bible when I was 10 from my aunt Bea. I still have it in fact. It's an old King James Bible with illustrations through out the book.

I don't remember, but I had a children's bible, a teen bible and a regular King James bible. What was it like? It was like nothing special. I've got mentally ill, yet functioning, parents who hide out in religion.

My first bible was a book called Origin of Species.
In it for the first time I found truth and understanding of my place in the world.

Encourage children to listen for God's wisdom in nature. He can and does communicate his will to all of us. Even to the blind who can not read or the ignorant.
