I dreamt I was buying my daughter a key for the door to our house. I was very specific about it having to be pink with white paw prints on it.
Any idea what this means?

It is very obvious that you are seeking protection for your daughter. However, at the same time, you are seeking some respect. Projecting buying your daughter a key is a symbol of responsibility, but main thing is put together of the dream. You are basically seeking for some sort of respect from things you do for others. In short, you may be in lack of sense of security.
Of course, if your daughter is old enough to have keys and like pink color, that will make you dream like that.
