Just drag the icon to the recycle bin. Simple as that. 8)

You mean uninstall a program that does not apper in your "add or remove programs" list. Well you cannot be helped further unless you state the name of the program and if the program has been installed or just dumped into a drive with a shortcut placed on your desktop.

As mentioned - drag to recycle bin.
If the recycle bin is not on your desktop, simply right-click the bad icon and choose delete from the shortcut menu. Click okay to confirm delete and it's gone.

Drag it to the waste basket or right click and delete. Keep in mind, this doesn't delete the program, just the icon (assuming it's just a shortcut icon).
