Is this a virus? How will I fix it?

Some software installations can cause them to take up a huge space in your registry. This happened to me with AutoCAD LT a few years ago. The solution was a registry edit.

You did not mention, is this one large entry, or many separate spaces between entries?

If it is one large one, then I suspect it is a software created issue. Look and see what program is making the one big space, then go to that company's forums and ask how to fix it.

I use a mac and I have no idea where you windows users come up with this stuff. If an interface is so rigid and tinkerer/nerd-dependent that you can't figure out something like this, the interface design is fatally flawed.

Your registry has 'issues', try a good registry cleaning program.
