Neither is really close. Midway is 12 miles away and O'hare is 16 miles. Either one will take about a half hour by cab if there's no traffic. I wouldn't count on that though, Chicago has horrible traffic. Generally it's worse coming into the city from O'hare, but one accident on any expressway could set you back.
If you're looking to get to the theater quickly, I suggest taking the el. -The blue line from O'hare or the orange line from Midway. They both have stops near the theater.
(p.s. The Mayor did tear down the runway at Meigs Field airport a few years ago. It was mostly used for private planes though.)

Neither is that close but, if i had to choose it would be midway airport, you can take the 55N and merge on to I 90/94 W get off on washington blvd and make a right washington blvd will become washington st. then turn left onto N Lasalle st., you can not miss it.

I would say Midway is easier to get to at this point, I fly in and out of Chicago every week.
