This question bothers me. The fact that you seriously don't know if you should or shouldn't is baffling to me. Listen here. If you are apart of the gay community and wouldn't mind someone calling you a dyke on the street then get it. If at the thought of someone calling you that makes you feel uncomfortable or wrong in any way I would ask don't do it. When you get words tattoo's on your body such as dyke or even whore, people will assume that you are...even more so because you put it there.

It really isn't classy. That tattoo will be there for life and you may not always want to have DYKE tattooed on your inner lip. Imagine explaining it to your child if you ever had one; I'm not saying it's bad to be a lesbian, but would you want your child telling people you were a dyke?

ultimately it's your decision, it's your body. However, I think it would not be classy it would be crude. Make sure you think hard before you get a word like that permanently etched on your skin. I know some folks wear that word like a badge of honor, but too many people use it in a harmful manner. But that's just MPO. You need to do what makes you happy, just make sure you'd be happy with that on your lip.

That word is kinda taboo, unless you are of course a lesbian.
I'm Bi, and I throw the word Dyke around a lot, and It has upset people.
Just don't show it off in public.

inner lip tattoos tend to "fall out" because your mouth is obviously always wet so it's difficult for the ink to get stuck in your skin. so it's not permanent. they tend to fade wayyy faster than a regular tattoo so eventually it'll be like it was never there.
so do it, it's all up to you.
and enjoy it.
i'm getting mine done on tuesday.

Do you think putting "KKK" on the nside of your lip is a bad thing ? . If you do then DYKE wouldnt be so nice either .but to each there own

thats fine to get... people usually get like swear words on there inner lip it can only be seen when you show it to someone really... and as long as you take care of it you will be good
