1)Stop going to Mandir (temple)
2)believe in your mind that Hindu Gods do not exist.
3)Get rid of Hindu Symbols.
4) Eat beef.
It is your personal choice whether you believe in God or not.

I read an article on one of the wire services about a large group of Hindus from the lowest caste in India converting to Buddhism to get out from under that oppression.
Seems to me that you can just "quit" any time you want by not practicing it and not observing their holidays and festivals. Don't be surprised when someone asks you why, or what you have converted to.
What matters most is your own personal spirituality and connection to God.

I think that's really tricky, seeing how the diversity of hindu beliefs and practices is so vast. Also there is a considerable ethnic and cultural part to it. Stopping to be a hindu is a bit like stopping to be a Jew... you can't ever really.

if u really want to stop and believe you want to stop and you will stop believing in any principle of it. you can stop without converting.
but its tough on your mind and spirit.
its hard but if you believe fully you can stop being one.
