How can people still not believe in global warming?

Question

With the overwhelming evidence that the world's climate is changing drastically, how can people still believe that we're not in imminent danger? You know, from something OTHER than Al-Qaida...

My dogs know the weather isn't getting any cooler over the years, but it doesn't mean it isn't a naturally occurring thing. Everything that exists goes through ups and downs and the middle. We're currently living in the period of the UP weather (It's Hot) but eventually over the years planet earth will manage itself to climb back down to be cold. And when it does a thousand years from now people, if humans still exist, will cry out like they are now that earth is going to freeze into a giant rock if we don't do something about it. Yes maybe human activity is altering it in 1 way or another but isn't going to change the pattern of mother nature. Come on now. All this man made global warming is just a big fuzz all over again to get people to give up their money just like any other thing. Thisi global warming stuff in my opinion has alot to do with the money and/or people are just too damn paranoid.

It's just as ignorant to believe we are in "immediate danger." Terrorists are a far more pressing danger than global warming, even the most fanatical believers have to admit that. Yes, global warming is happening. No it is not going to destroy the earth in the near future.

wThe climate isn't changing other wise Summer would be Winter and so on, if you said drasticaly. Besides It's heck of alot more cooler. In California, there was a Citrus Crisis, where the the Orages trees in the bay area had lots of frost, thats not good for plants, normaly it's so hot out there.

A lot of people don't believe it because the bible says something about people telling you that the world is ending when the rapture is coming and stuff like that. I don't believe in the bible so much though. I know global warming is there...I just don't care.

Reading someone else's post that they don't give a damn gives some insight too. From someone to intentionally seek out a message board about the environment to say they don't give a damn-- isn't that the problem? I mean if the people who don't give a damn did give a damn, there wouldn't be a message board about global warming, would there?

When I figure THAT one out, I'll probably win a Nobel Prize in psychology! I do think it has a lot to do with feeling powerless, combined with not wanting to have to do anything inconvenient to help the planet.

I think it's sad that many people have such a blind hatred of Al Gore that they won't even listen to what he's saying. What we're dealing with goes beyond parties or politics or likability, and is something that will affect us, our children, and our grandchildren. I hope that they learn to listen before it is too late.

I don't know what i believe but i herd the whole Too much CO2 = Heat equation may be backwarsds and that indeed the earths heat is releasing more Carbon Dioxide....I don't believe its true but some people may.
