skin lightening AND skin tanning have the SAME objectives - better self esteem or to correct uneven skin tone.. much like how you take care of your skin, hair, weight, etc. to look and feel better.. absolutely, there's nothing wrong with that.. the only difference lies in one's cultural identity and tradition.. so let's respect each other's wants and needs..

1. use safe and potent skin lightening products - no hydroquinone, mercury or steroids AND potent unlike most commercial products showing little or no results at all.. here's a good source-

2. use a high spf (50 or better) sunscreen whenever outdoors..

3. take 500 mg vit. C everyday to enhance skin lightening and suppleness..

the above will give you faster and the most effective results.. i've done it.

Buy lemon juice. The kind that is a container that looks like a lemon. Buy cheese cloth. Soak the cheese cloth in lemon juice and then lay with the cloth on your skin, where you want it to be lightened. If this doesn't work, get a tan and it will all blend in.

i dont know about instantly getting lighter skin in a few days or weeks, but i heard about bleaching but thats really bad for your skin. If your not a patient person then this won't work for you, but i was a little bit dark, but staying home for a majority of my summer i got lighter.

Have you thought about using a foundation on your skin----Maybe try to use a foundation that is a couple of shades lighter than your skin tone

They sell skin bleach. It is Hydroquinone. I've only ever seen it online but you could try a beauty supply store.

Depends on what made it dark.

If its natural ... it's beautiful!

If its ..... like a suntan, you can put lemon juice on it next time you're outside in the sun.
