I doubt it. The immune system works at the cellular level. Hook Worms are parasites. The medicine to get rid of them is just a course of pills (maybe three to five) and they are tiny. I would get the medicine.

Please, hook worm and ring worm are two different animals Janet, if your aunt that's a nurse told you they were the same, what kind of hospital does she work for?
Hook worm is a parasite that gets into your intestinal tract and lives there, grows, incubates and feeds on you, an actual living creature that is living within you.
Ring worm is a bacteria that lives on your skin and thrives in the upper layers of the dermis.
Hook worm has to be treated with drugs that will eradicate it. while ring worm is highly invasive, it has to have medications to stop it completely and cure you.

i would go to a doctor or if its the same thing i think it is similar to a ring worm that is burrowed beneath the skin kinda itchy and swollen and filled with fluid you can do what my aunt told me she is a nurse keep the area clean and dry don't mess with it and apply clear nail polish over and around the area it will suffocate and die the other alternative is antibiotics i have had several cases of creep and corruption in my life i no longer walked outside barefoot
