14:4. And We sent not a Messenger except with the language of his people, in order that he might make (the Message) clear for them. Then Allâh misleads whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.

Muslim by choice...Allah does not want those who would otherwise become faithful followers to find the right path?
he is against reform?

So if you are not on Allah's right path he misleads you further thosuh you are already misled? Allah is afraid that even though you are on the wrong path already you might find the right path and then he still wouldn't like you?
Can any Muslim be sure that Allah hasn;t caused him to go down the wornfg path? How would we know if it was simply whoever Allah chooses to mislead as the Qu'ran says?

Red Dragon Allah misleads those who are aleady misled? It seems like to me it says he gives everyone the word then he chooses who he wishs to mislead.
seems to me he doesnt need a reason.
But even if Allah chose to mislead someone who was already wrong...doesnt seem quite right that Allah would not allow him a chance to know the truth...Shouldnt Allah be in favor of all people finding his truth and following his truth?

The Qu'ran says Allah is all merciful but here he is misleading poor souls who are already ot the wrong path...seems a merciful Allah would be reaching out to them that they might find the right path.

False flag free will means a man has a choice...If Allah misleads them they have no choice!

Ammad if a Muslim goes astray Allah misleads them? Should not a merciful God want to bring them home to his truth?
shouldnt the true God want all to find his truth? Is it the will of Allah that some will perish and even because Allah himself misled them? Does this sound righteous? Does this sound merciful?

Muslim by choice it is not me that makes it seem this way it is the words of Allah in the Qu'ran. Would there be a point to Allah misleading anyone who could not find the truth? You seem to say Allah only misleads those who are not interested in his truth...The point of that would be? The only reason anyone would mislead anyone is to prevent them from finding the truth...It seems apparent that Allah is insuring that some will not find the truth even if they search for it. At his whim...Yes it says who he chooses ..would that to be at his whim?

Muslim by choice, I have definitely made up my mind it is obvious that it would be pointless to mislead someone who could not find the truth. I definitely do not worship Allah and by his definition I would be mislead by him...I prefer to think I am not mislead by Satan the deceiver but am a sinner who is lead from sin to God's truth by the God who loves us ALL. The difference in my God and Allah is he leads the unrighteous to his righteousness he loved us while we were sinner and offered his blood for us while we were yet sinners...God is a God of Love it is not his desire that anyone would perish he paid the ultimate price to save us from sin and death.

Muslim by choice...Your very name reflects you made a choice that God allows.. You say you could not wrap your brain around it and then you were led to Islam...We trust God and receive faith and through faith comes revelation...some choose to follow what they can wrap their brains around and some know that God is greater than man's limited understanding and trust God and then receive revelation.
I agree that Atheist and Muslims believe in a man's logic but God is greater than our understanding but does grant revelation to those who seek and receive his gift of faith.

God does not mislead those who are not Christian he reaches out to all people. It is for a fact that God does not wish any should perish it is the resaon he provided the atonement to pay the penalty of death for you. many choose to believe a lie rather than seek God's truth and God allows them their free choice but it is not his wish that any should perish.

How would a Muslim ...what?

I'm guessing you meant to include "know" if he was misled?

Allah does not misguide the true seekers, but leads the arrogant and those who love their own desires more than Him to stay on their own misguided path.

EDIT: Allah wants ALL of us to be guided. Those who would INTENTIONALLY stay away from the true path, though it is in front of them would not be guided. They do not want it. It is not by His whim that some remain astray. He leaves those be who want to be there. On the other hand, if a person is seeking the truth with sincerity, though he be misguided, Allah will guide Him. You make it sound like Allah has a wand up in the sky and is marking people be guided or astray at will. It is a matter of our inner intention to seek Him.

Nevertheless, people may change, and no one is doomed to be permanently unguided. If their hearts incline toward God later, He will guide them. And His signs, universal and specific, will continue to be present to give a person chances to seek Him again. The tragedies that befall us are one example.

EDIT: It means that the one who is in love with his desires and does not want to be guided, Allah will allow him to think that what he is doing is good, so in that sense mislead him. It seems to me that you have already made up your mind as to what it means. Perhaps YOU are being misled?

EDIT: You still don't (want to) get it, so I give up. I would take issue with your statement that your God leads people from unrighteousness to righteousness. If that is the case, why is not all the world Christian? Why hasn't "your" God not misled all non-Christians?

I will tell you something else, with humbleness and honesty. I TRIED to believe in Christianity. Ultimately, I found that the brain God blessed me with would not allow me to accept the Trinity or all of the mistakes in the Bible. I asked for guidance all through my teen years within the context of Christianity. In the end, God led me to Islam. So if what you are saying about "your" God is true, why didn't He guide me to remain in Christianity?

14.2 Allah to whom belongs all that is in the Heavens and all that is in the Earth! And woe unto the disbelievers from a severe torment.

14.3 Those who prefer the life of this world to the Hereafter, and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah (i.e. Islam) and seek crookedness therein - they are far astray.

14.4. And We send not a Messenger except with the language of his people, in order that he might make (the Message) clear for them. Then Allah misleads whom He will and guides who He wills. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.
***************************************************************

It looks to me like Allah guides those who choose to believe and misguides those who "prefer the life of this world to the Hereafter, and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah (i.e. Islam) and seek crookedness therein" Allah (God) knows best!

Muslim: word Muslim Means one who submit his will to the will of God..

now analize.. the character of present Muslim according to this definition..

those who called themselves Muslims and not submitting their will to the will of God.. (Allah) they are labeled Muslims.. and they what ever happened to the Nation before us.. (JEWS).. is happening to us.. because.. we got astray from right path..

but still those who follow whatever Allah wants them to do.. alhumdulillah they are still in Peace.. and.. not mislead..

and the best guide is Qur'an.. who follow Qur'an will never get astray. inshaAllah ..

The verse means that after Allah makes the religion of Islam clear to people, then "READ CAREFULLY HERE" whether you decide to embrace Islam or not is in Allah's will.

misleads = doesn't guide to Islam

thus, you have been misled if you aren't a Muslim. That simple. We can call all the groups who ascribe themselves to Islam but in fact they are not Muslims, such as Shia, NOI, secularists etc, to be misled.

the guided = Muslims, ahl ul-sunnah wal-jam'ah

Those who have the intentions for misguidance will be misguided.

That is what free will is all about.

Intention is everything.
