Don't be so quick to get out of bed in the morning. Wake up slowly and leisurely; you might even go back to sleep..... probably a light phase of sleep. Reading the Holy Bible and a lot of bible study helps a lot as that prepares you for a visitation from the Holy Spirit in the form of a dream. Jeremiah 33:3 says "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not." I can tell you from my own personal experience....... that will happen, and often depending upon how passionate you are in seeking him. Being consistent is important too.

You should have an idea of what you want to do in your dream (let's say, for example, that you want to fly).
Spend your day thinking about that subject. Always keep your dream idea in the back of your mind. Imagine, during the day, what it would be like to fly.

Make sure your sleeping environment is comfortable and the right temperature, etc.

Don't have any alcohol or stimulants (caffeine, etc) before bed.

Like Steven says, try and look for odd things. It may help if you "study" your dreams for a couple of weeks beforehand. Keep a notebook by the side of your bed. Every time you wake up from a dream, write down as much as you can remember about it.
This will help condition your mind to your dream state. After a while, you may be able to recognise patterns and recurring themes in your dreams, meaning you will stand a better chance of recognising them while you are actually asleep. When this happens, it will be easier to recognise the things which are ridiculous/impossible, and mean you are obviously dreaming (for example, the first time I had a lucid dream, I realised I was dreaming when my sister's dead dog came back to life - something I knew was impossible).

But please be warned, there's no guarantee you'll actually have a lucid dream, and the preparation is tedious.
I had to work hard before I ever had one, but I think for some lucky people it just comes naturally.

Good luck!

My lucid dreams mostly come at the very beginning and very end of the night when you're drifting in an out of REM sleep. Try to recognize when this happening.

Another way is to try and look for things out of place in your dreams. Say you find yourself at work, but your desk is on the roof of the building, that could be a signal that you're not really at work and to take control.

Sorry, it's hard to explain. But I think you get the idea.

I have a serious answer - but you won't like it. but hey - you christians are great at that - only listening to other christians. DON'T THINK - MY GOD DON'T THINK. If you do - you will have to realize your religion is a sham - and there are so many contradictions that to believe makes you a fool. So go dream of Christ filling you with his man love. Ya - that's not gay.
