When I decide to share this information with someone, I start out by asking them if they have ever considered the ideas of a nature based spirituality. I talk about how none of us would be here or be able to live if there was no Mother Earth. She gives us the firmament upon which we stand and build our homes, she provides soil to grow food to feed ourselves and animals, she provides water which is essential to life. Father Sky protects us with gravity and a shield from the atmosphere, he gives us light from the sun, rain to nourish our plants and the beautiful bright blue sky. I explain that the true "old time religion" was about nature and that this religion has been around long before christianity. I also bring up the fact that christianity is a masculine religion. Their religion was forced upon peaceful Pagans and lies were told to make Pagan beliefs seem evil. There is no devil in witchcraft. Pagans are not devil worshipping nut cases. They are kind people who believe that everything in the universe is connected and that is good and bad in everyone. A witch knows the rule of three and that is if you cast a bad spell on someone that it will come back to you three times as bad as what you wished on that other person.

I have told very few people because of the stigma that is attached. Those that I have told have not had bad reactions.

I think that you should share your beliefs with your Mother. If she does not agree ask her if she will just read some books on it so that she can see it is nothing bad.

Good luck
Blessed Be

Do you mean you have special magical powers or you are practicing white magic and are Pagan? I would first define what you mean and then if you think there is some reason why she needs to know, then simply tell her. Do realize that she and most people are not going to understand what you mean and depending on her own religion or culture she make take this very negatively. I would spend some time on why she needs to know this.

When the topic of religion comes up mention casually that you practice Wicca (or whichever flavor you follow). It is a simple enough thing to do. If you make a big deal of it...so will she. This isn't a subject up for debate or conversion so if that starts just nib it in the bud. You know how to assert yourself with people. Your parents are just that...people.

somehow, im a little skeptical that you are an actual spell-casting witch, but in the hypothetical situation that you are, i dont think you should have any problems telling her. do you mean how do you convince her that you're telling the truth? because then you just do a spell, duh.
