why did I say they feel that way? because they passionately discredit anything that the Catholic Church say, and even make up stories against the Church. if that's not deep hatred and loathing, what is it? that's definitely not an act of love.

and don't ask me what lies have been spread, because everybody has heard all those lies from many Bible-fundies lots of times.

Many people do not understand the teaching of the Bible nor do they understand the teaching of the Church. Many don't understand the place of Oral Tradition either. The Fundies like us to think that the Bible is simple. It is not. There are many literary styles, various forms of writing, history, etc.
To Fundies everything is easy. But they need to understand one thing: They say that the Catholic Church tells its believers this or that; well what do they think their ministers are doing? And most of their ministers don't have half the training of Catholic Priests.
Fundies fix on certain verses, don't know the rest of the scriptures and then become self proclaimed theologians and apologists.
Public Schools are no help either. For years I've heard teachers talk badly about the Catholic Church in history while leaving out all the Schools, Hospitals, Monasteries, libraries, etc. that the Church as directly built.
The Fundies world is a very selfish one sided world. They clearly do not know Christ.

Your question is slightly scattered. I'm honestly not sure what you mean by "make up stories." Could you give an example?
Reading the bible solidified my Atheism. It was rather difficult to accept the existence of a supreme being so similar in behavior and philosophy to the ignorant barbarians he supposedly gave dictation to. No offense to the authors, who I'm sure knew no better. I did expect more than genital mutilation, genocide and ritual sacrifice from the Almighty.
I can't say my response to reading the Good Book was one of outrage toward the Catholic Church. I was more exhausted than angry. After a nap, I realized that I had in my possession a wonderful tool. I was quite happy! All the best arguments against Christianity are laid bare in its own holy book. Is that not perfect?

Look - simply said - I was a catholic from birth and then became a warlock - left the church ... AND -
The Priest came to my parents HOME to get me to come back ... and told me that it was alright to be a warlock as long as I was worshipping A GOD ...
Talk about a mind screw - but; I went back and was greeted with open arms and met many practicing witches and warlocks in the church using it's cover so they would not be persecuted ...
I left again after reading the scriptures and realized I was lied to all my life - and I stopped being a warlock as well - calling on other gods and goddesses and all that demon stuff that is done in such a way for white witches and warlocks that you would never question it ...
Satan has many rooms in her mansion ... one is marked "Catholic Church", and one is marked "Baptist", one is marked "Protestant" and one is "Church of Christ" ... there are many many rooms and unless you know what is behind the doors before you enter - if you make it out it may take years off your path to righteousness ...-
Keep the law regarless of what any preacher or church says - as your Creator said to do so and only those doing so will inherit life ...
With that and Isaiah 8:20 - you should have a nice field trip through Satan's Mansion - hope to see you come to the light soon though - I will have a glass of cool water waiting for you once you come through that oven ...
Your answer though - is that many though they do not know why - they know they been duped ... and are upset and know not why ... Those like me - I know why and I did at one time totally detest the Catholic Church and her harlot daughters ... I loathed them and wanted them destroyed ... but now;
I feel bad for them - following the whore that sits on 7 hills - the 7 hills of Rome and the Catholic Church the way they do ... yes - they all do - tell me who don't have church on Sunday ... and I will tell you someone that may be right with our Creator - as he said to keep the 7th day holy (Friday sundown to Saturday Sundown) - not the 1st day the Catholic Church - the whore that sits on 7 hills created for worship of the SUNgod - on SUNday ... Mithra Worship - coming with a sword in one hand and a crucifix in the other -
Repent or die???
I would rather die - I have no fear anymore, not even for the whore that sits on 7 hills - the Church of Christ ... sorry - the Catholic Church and her daughters ...
peace;

If they're "first timers" and have lived a "sinful" life, then obviously they will feel hatred after they read the Bible due to the simple fact that it goes against their inmorality (of course fo them, it isn't). What I have seen is that some people do start to believe, but they are afraid and they decide it's better to go against.

They recognize a lot of false teaching and overt control.
There is enough true stories plastered all over the news that people do not need to make up stories.
Some do make up stories for a buck or a million bucks but in about any lawsuit there are going to be cons out for the buck too.
