The whole point of the protein shake is to help you heal up(recover faster) so you won't be sore and tired the next workout. I don't see a point of drinking it before.....I use to do that with no effect. I workout 4 days a week and I rarely need to drink the shake as it doesn't really help that much. I've gotten really strong just by staying natural. You can e-mail me if you'd like if you have any questions.

I usually drink one after and then one at dinner (because my workout is in the morning). I have seen a definite increase in muscle but the shake does taste horrible. I have yet to find a shake that works and tastes decent. Anyways it doesn't really matter if you drink it before or after just as long as you drink and and work out. DONT just drink it and not work out because the calories then will be unused and you will suffer from it by gaining fat.

I always heard to drink one after. But I doubt it matters, depending on how long your workout is. Some places say to have protein before AND after... I guess if you're a really intense worker outer you may need that.

From a scientific attitude, neither is going to do a project to your work out. Protein takes hours to digest and get into your bloodstream, and hours longer to be labored into your cells the place it helps fix tissues and upload to your muscular tissues. ingesting a protein shake maximum suitable earlier or maximum suitable after your work out is in simple terms a waste of time and cash. in certainty, protein shakes can prepare unfavourable to your wellbeing! no matter how in many cases we tell the lay public, human beings shop on letting themselves be ripped off via people who pretend those protein shakes are their salvation. All you like is 3 nutrients an afternoon, with suitable apportioned servings of the 4 nutrition communities, a great number of exercising and many sleep at night. people who hear to us are the winners of Olympic gold medals; people who enable themselves to be suckered into protein shakes are the wanna-bees who on no account even make it to the bronze. One wonders how they are in a position to maintain on permitting themselves to be made fools of.

should atleast take it three or four times a day...get most of your protein from meals, and then supplement with a protein powder...you need atleast a gram of protein per body pound a day..so if you want muscles get your protein intake higher
