I live in the Newark area of New Jersey, very close to NYC. I pay at random from $6.50 to $7.00 +. In New York City you can pay from $7.00 to $8.00 +. My brand of choice is NewPort, I smoke a pack a day, and I have been smoking for 8 years. I'm 20 years old.
Please list your brand of choice, the price range that you pay per pack, your general location, and how much you smoke per day, and how many years you have been smoking.
This will be a good experiment, in a month or so, or when there is enough answers I will tally up the total amount of money spent on cigarettes with the prices given, the amount of money given to the government, and the amount of years lost of each life. Be part of my experiment.

I live in Queensland,Australia no idea what a packet costs but i buy 2 cartons a week at $44.60 per carton,I smoke around 30 per day,I smoke Pall Mall dark blue slims.There is only 20 in a pack,I have been smoking for 35yrs i will be 48 in september.

About $3.00 a pack here in NW Indiana. Marlboro Lights, a pack a day and I'm 30 and I've been smoking for 12 years. If they raise taxes again I'll just buy from bootleggers!

I don't spend a dime for cigarettes because I quit many years ago, I'm not that stupid to be paying so much to get sick and then complain about the price of gasoline and medicine.

My nana pays about $7.00 - $10.00 for one pack. She lives in Dry Branch, GA. I don't never see her though (thank lord) her house smells like smoke, and she smells like smoke. :=(
