No, they are only there for entertainment. Being frightened for fun has existed in other forms; rollercoasters, for example.

Personally, I don't like scary movies. But hey- whatever rocks your boat.

If you find it necessary to ask the question; then the answer for you should be obvious.

Sin is a condition in the human heart. Watching a horror movie isn't a sin. Sinners however will be found watching horror movies; because it is in their unconverted nature to do so.

Is it evil for anyone? Your mind is a womb. Whatever you put in there will grow. The result, much as the old computer saying: Garbage in garbage out.

If you analyze horror movies carefully you will find them to be a very subtle, even if unintentional, mockery of the plan of salvation.

Watching any movies is not a sin, no matter what kind; it's not evil to watch horror movies, just a waste of time.

Well, it's all in what you think. The Bible doesn't forbid it. It just says that anything you put before the Lord is a sin. Soooo, if you value horror movies more than your relationship with God, then yes, it's a sin. Do I think it's evil? Satan is evil. Movies are inert. How has satan influenced YOU today? Ask yourself that one.....katiefish <><

no it's not a sin to watch them, but what they have out their now as horror is so mind altering if a to young of a person saw them they could be mentally hurt.....especially if it has to do with something that could actually happen.....
But people do need to be more aware of the ratings and not let under a certain age see really gross, bloody, and anything with the devil in it....it's actually common sense...Don't let a 4 year old watch Texas chainsaw masque, or the Exorcist....caring about the children's mental well being and using common sense should be a big factor in any movie

no not for me.but if you feel it's wrong then don't.this is one of those, drink a glass of wine, play cards, birth contol,etc... if it bothers you then don't.but if the horror movie has a lot of sex,or nudity then check your heart to see if your watching it for the horror or the pretty girl with no top on.
