I THINK I might have pin worms. My sister had them before and I must of got them from her. When she told my mom, my mom had the biggest freak out! So I don't want to tell my mom. Is there a natural way to cure these things? Like eat a certain food? I'm only 13 ;-;

You can go to the drugstore and get Pin-X or Pin-Rid.

Don't feel bad. Pinworms are very common and can be passed from one person to another. Your mother should have treated everyone for pinworms when your sister had them.

There are pills you can get to get rid of pin worms, however you may well need a doctor to write a prescription. The amount of time you have had then doesn't matter. However, there are steps you need to take to ensure they don't come back. First and foremost, change your underwear every day and every night. Also, change your bedding every couple of days. Pin worms eggs are very sticky and you will be re infected if you don't practice military cleanliness for awhile. Hand washing is also very important. A major route to re infestation is by ingesting eggs that are stuck under your nails from wiping, or scratching during your sleep when the worms become active. If I were you I would simply tell your parents that you have this problem, you know what it is but you would rather have a doctor confirm it, or just tell then, "mom, dad, I think I have pin worms, please can we get a treatment? If it's any consolation, pin worms are extremely common, and nobody is going to judge you.

No there isn't and, if I were you, I would get medication right now. Think of these things growing in your intestine, coming out at nigh in your anal opening to lay eggs, do you itch down there, I'm sure, now think of what's doing it.
Have you ever seen these parasites in a jar, we had quite a collection of human parasites in our lab, you don't want them in you.
Now, go tell your mom and get medication before you infect the whole family, it will happen and you'll be at fault, if you haven't already.

You didn't get them from your sister. But you need to wash your hands more often, especially before you eat, because that's how you get them.

The old folks used to say to eat a raw potato. Many old home remedies had value - it could work, and wouldn't hurt.
If it works, your butt will stop itching.

There isn't a certain food to eat, but you can get over-the-counter medicine to treat it, just ask at your drug store and they can help you find it.
