Ok, I just bought some bass Assassin worms, and I'm not exactly sure if this is meant to be a top water lure or dip down in the water. HELP ME! :]

First off there are many kinds of Bass assassin lures. Some are top water. The Bass Assassin lures I use are jigs. I Cast out, let it sit for about 15 seconds then jig it, slowly retrieve and jig every 3-5 seconds like I would do a D.O.A. lure. They work great on Redfish here in Florida. The red head/white body ones work the best.

Usually you use a 1/4 oz leadhead jig with the bass assassin. It's up to you how far in the water column you want to fish. You could let it sink, or quickly close the bail to fish the top.

They work great either way. Rig it on a 3/8 or 1/4 jighead for fishing on the bottom or on just a hook for fishing it as a jerkbait
