For those who missed this, you have to see this to believe it. The winning "martial artist" used 43 Yahoo accounts, just to win one best answer. What style or school teaches this behavior?

2007-07-27 18:27:09 · 17 answers · asked by Yahoo 6 in Sports Martial Arts

I believe it is a boy. This is just one of many examples. Note- there are 3 gamers fighting over the question, a total of 100 votes.

This question would not matter to someone who has no honor. Read the question several times if you find it difficult to understand.

Some interesting answers. Folks, this is a legitimate question. No personal attacks are necessary. The question has to do with your MA style. Do they teach cheating? If so, what is the style?

Whether or not Yahoo deputizes people for "sting" operations is a different question for the Yahoo Answers category. The answer is they just don't do it, but that has nothing to do with Martial Arts, my question does.

Well, its pretty obvious that Jv knows I am not a cheater or he wouldn't have chosen my answer as best to his question about the cheating.

Notice that all the people who are pretending to defend the guy with 42 accounts had there profiles created June 27-28, or the week of December 16. Because those are some of the 42 accounts? Also why is this only the 2nd or 3rd question they have ever answered? The only other question they answered was also defending the cheat. Kid, you need to sober up, you have been weighed, measured, and found wanting.

I have yet to hear of any style that teaches cheating. That is the question. Either answer the question or go onto another.

Found- 17 accounts created on the night of June 27 and after midnight when it turned the 28th. Unless someone comes up with the answer soon, we can conclude that no martial art teaches this behavior.

Just so he will stop lying about Jv, who is inmy network, and how I learned about this situation. Here is the question he posed, when he busted the gamers. Also notice who he picked as best answer, and if you check the comments, who agreed with him.

That should stop the nonsense about him.

Actually Fenris blocked me. He needs to remove the block to contact me, or just reply to the E-mail I sent last week. Thanks

Why would someone do that? Are you sure this guy is a martial artist?

No, cheating is not taught in Judo or any style that I have heard of. He would not only be disgracing himself, but his Sensei, his school, and his ancestors. I think you caught prankster or joker.

It is also common knowledge that Judo originated in Japan, but Tae Kwon Do is the National Sport of Korea. There are a lot of characters on here.

Cheating is cheating. Why does Yahoo even allow this? It's a boy by the way, I think. It sure as heck is not a martial artist.

Every style I have ever heard of trains students to be honest before anything.

Edit: This is the same one who closed the other cheating question before I could answer. Did you read the comments? OMG, when you are busted, you are busted. It is claiming to work for Yahoo if you believe the Juliett character. Or is that him too? This boy needs help, but he has no business in martial arts.

I've seen the question before.

Now, for the record, FenrisWulf claims that it was a sting operation, intended to weed out people who were getting 10-30 votes for best answer. Also, other people claimed that they helped him, such as rgarretty and Scorpion S.

I've been meaning to ask him how getting 43 people to vote for you several times is supposed to weed out cheaters. (This is a honest question, not a judgment of his character.) Incidentally, JAS also claimed to be doing the same thing.
I dunno. I just don't see how it works. I'll check back to see if anyone else can explain it better.

Wow, this is getting to be a mess.
I emailed Fenris; he explained how it worked. I think his intentions are good, but I still have my suspicions.
I also suggested that maybe it was just a misunderstanding, and he conceded that maybe it was. However, you've apparently blocked him, so he can't contact you.

You know what, this is something that you two need to work out between yourselves.

This "martial artist" also believes that Taekwondo originated from Japan.....

EDIT:

You are all trying to defend him, saying that he does not have "anywhere near a 70% rating". Well, 60% is pretty close, and his Q&A IS private, last I checked. Not that I really care much, just look before you try to stick up for someone, you may be interested in what you find. That, and I am still trying to figure out how, with 31 years of claimed MA experience, he says TKD originated in Japan.

This is a quote from text he wrote, claiming that TKD originated in Japan:

"Tae Kwon Do is its own now. Like most Martial arts, it derives from another art. During the Japanese occupation of the 1930's-1945 they practiced a lot of Shotokan and so the locals learned too, only when the occupation ended they did not want a Japanese style. So they made changes, good ones of course if taught by the correct teacher, and changed the name as they had changed some of the philosophies and forms of TKD from Shotokan. Shotokan gets its origins from TE, an Okinawan art, or Shorin Ryu.

You could technically keep going back and back because TE came to Okinawa from China and to China probably from India or Tibet. So you see my point?

SO its not a bunch, it is ONE, just one modified from one to become its own identity today.

Source(s):

Sensei and MA 31+ years (Sandan Shotokan, Nidan Kenpo, Shodan TKD and practioner of Iado/Kenjitsu)
"
He very CLEARLY says that TKD came from Shotokan, and that it was not around before the Japanese occupation, which is flat out false. Someone who is a "sensei and MA 31+ years" would know better.

I helped too. Fenris contacted me just like JV and the others as he said. This GUY has made it so he cannot even write his own comment back to defend himself. WHAT kind of school teaches that? I think he is the boy. I am very glad that he did this as is JV and JAZ and FRANK, ask them as Judith above said.

Keep it up Fenris eventually you will get all these cheaters with a 70% rating gone and honor restored here. We appreciate it. trust us. Once JV confirms his story to them, then your story just melted away and proves your the child and liar and cheater so please every one do contact them and ask them I did first before i participated to make sure it was legit.

A Ninja? I dunno man. If the cheater is the girl in that picture then I have seen her around a lot lately. Usually the first one to answer a question from a brand spanking new user and magically picked for the best answers. Nothing new under the sun. I've seen this trick before. This is the worst case of chump voting I have seen.

No lie, I have used more than one account in my past, but not for martial arts. I read the comments too. Crazy chick who won't admit it no matter what you do. Reminds me of that ole joke, "who you gonna believe? me or those lying eyes of yours." heh

I went to both sites questions and tallied things up. it is possible to get a 70 or 60% just really hard or it could be cheating. hard to say,

what difference does it make, just avoid each others questions. this is not a competition in here, its to help other like me who are still students learn and Id expect better behavior from a Black Belt.

The story I'm told by the other users turn out to be true, contact them you will see.

This is in reference to personal character, not martial arts.

If you are in a street situation, there is no such thing as cheating. Either you win or you lose (possibly die.)

Yahoo! Answers posts are not a street situation.

It doesn't affect my world one way or the other if people are cheating to get best answers on Yahoo. Most of us have real problems in our lives to deal with.
