I don't think that. Did someone say I did?.

If they committed a crime they are more likely to be arrested or on probation than if they didn't. Perhaps that would be a better way to look at it.

My opinion echoes some on here but the main reason I see is the lack of a stable family life. This extends to the neighborhood. When there is no strong emotional attachment there is no nurturing and teaching a child how to follow the rules of society. Many young minority men have no father in the home and thus times are harder and there is less time to spend training said child. This is a very simplified version of my experience btw.

Numbers do not lie. The highest crime rates are among: the lower income classes; the lower educated groups; and follows the trend of drugs, violence and culture. Crimes are usually committed against ones own race (because they are who we usually associate with). So don't get angry, when you are the one who poss-ed the question. Maybe the best cure to crime in minorities, is for minorities to step up and take charge of their own destiny. Why is it everyone Else's fault, that someone lives some where, or commits a crime?

well if you are speaking of blacks and hispanics, you have to consider that ghetto culture glorifies crime in general. this is passed from generation to generation. some minorities break the poverty and crime cycle thru hard work and education and where is the first place they move? out of the ghetto. birds of a feather flock together. if you want to take a bite out of crime, go where the most criminals are and proceed to stompin.

Because the justice systems targets poor people and people of color more than rich or white people. Because children who grow up without parents (like when the parents are in jail) have a greater chance of going to jail, creating a cycle. Because privilege breeds privilege and it is hard to overcome centuries of oppression. Just a few reasons...

Crime is why they are in jail. Minority, majority....who cares? Do bad things, go to jail. That's how it's supposed to work.
