Many medical people agree a burn injury is the worst, most painful injury there is. If a person is burning alive in hell forever, how can God who is in all control, be all all merciful and loving then?

God has extended an offer of reconciliation:

"All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God.God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God."
II Corinthians 5:18-21

If men end up in hell, it won't be God's fault.
What about you?

I don't really believe that concept of hell. I don't even know if I believe necessarily in hell. However, I do know that when I've done someone really wrong or majorly screwed up in a way that I feel is wrong...the guilt I feel is truly a burning sensation in my chest( not talking about heart burn for you goof balls). Maybe, Hell is like an eternity of that guilty burning, knowing you hurt someone or denied that the Savior is real. I think even in the after life( again, totally undecided on that) that there is still an opportunity to change, forsake your sins, accept Christ, reconcile, and become that better person. Why would there be an eternity of time? Maybe only those who deny HIM to his face will know what that heavy Burning feeling of guilt and hopelessness feels like...
who knows??? We can only speculate.

Christians have pushed the "flames and burning" part too far in the past history.

The place of Hell is eternal separation from God. Yes, I believe there will be an aspect of flames and punishment, but that's not the punishment for not having anything to do with God. It's eternal separation form him.

Secondly, I reconcile it by saying that people have the chance to come to a saving knowledge of God. God cannot force them to love Him. Forced love is not love at all. Therefore, if they deny Him, they are unworthy to spend eternity with Him.

As CS Lewis said, "The gates of Hell are locked from the inside."

I am a Christian, but I try to not assume anything. Hell is described using terms like, a lake of fire, and the worm that never dies, and other descriptive terms like weeping and nashing of the teeth. Some Christians have taken this to mean that Hell is literally fire. This I can not refute, but I can't attest to either. Jesus used imagery words often, metaphors and other poetic devices. He often spoke literally and he often spoke figuratively. Whatever the case may be Hell I believe to be a literal place, but the conditions of that place are not known. Some christian language experts that know Greek and Hebrew actually have said that the terms lake of fire means simply judgment, and the worm that never dies means memory. I am not a language expert so I can not say, and I am not a Hell expert so I can still not say. However, your question deserves another question. If God is loving, merciful, and fair what is he to do. Spiritually rape us and physically abduct us. If a person has openly not desired God, is he to overwhelm their will and force them into a place they have no desire to be, namely a place that exudes his presence? I am afraid that God gives people what they desire, and if it is not Him, then sadly that is what he gives them. What this involves I do not know, but things are not simple and i have no problem saying I don't know. I am not God, and would not be capable of grasping all of the Truth. However, Jesus made my ignorance of little concern, and I follow Him and trust God with the consequences. You are free to mock, but this is the best I can do. I hope it was not a waste of your time.

Remember God gives us all FREE WILL to except him or not so those that reject the Holy Spirit will go to hell, You can be a murder but by repenting and ask for forgiveness the Lord will love you and have mercy on you. Because he said so John 3:16

actual such contrasts are human features, indicating that God is a guy made concept. The God of the outdated testomony is a vengeful jealous God, and of the recent testomony a compassionate loving God; back such assessment of the type we come across in people. actual an omniscient, omnipresent, all-powerful God, could be a splendidly consistent character, no longer fallacious with human thoughts.

God is loving and merciful. He gives everybody to accept him and ask him to be their savior. However, if you choose not to then you get the other option. It is just like a parent, you dont' let your kids make a bad decision and just get away with it. But if they ask to be forgiven, then obviously you do and love them all the more for it. All things in life have a balance you can't have your cake and eat it too

because God is a merciful and loving God and He has given to us the method to choose to avoid hell. hell is a given. God's mercy and love is just out there waiting to deliver us from hell. he cares enough to give us a way to choose yes or no to hell.

You have to realize that he is also a God of Justice, he is holy, and sin is filthy in his sight and will not go unpunished. Surely everyone has sinned and according to God's justice, there is a penalty, but being also Love, God has made an opportunity through his son, Jesus Christ, for sinful man to be forgiven and reconciled. God is always balancing Light, Love and Power.

Strange how people either deny it altogether, or affirm a dichotomy without even thinking about it. Ever stop to think that God might, just might, be glorified in His punishment of the unbeliever?

The Love and Mercy of God comes in via Christ. If you are not "HIDDEN" in Christ, God's vicious wrath is upon you.

People quickly discount this as foolishness... but it is those who don't believe in hell... that go there!
