Pamikens
They are leading people astray, believing in false doctrine. I wonder those who don't belive in hell, do they live for themselves disreguarding righteousness?

I believe in heaven and hell. U must be talking about that pastor who had a mega church, then he had a revelation and heard a voice that told him, why would a loving god send people to hell. any way he started to preach that there was no hell and lost his mega church. He thinks that he is preaching the truth because so many people left his congregation.
But then again, if u just preach about hell to nonbelievers, it won't bring them to Christ. U have to preach the LOVe of God. THe Holy Spirit will do the rest of the work.

Oh, I believe that hell will be very real. Notice I said "will be." According to the Bible, hell is not exactly a place, but an event that will occur on judgment day. All the wicked, including the devil and his demons, will be burned up. They will not be burning forever, but they will burn until they are burned up. Then they will all be dead forever, eternally separated from God. That is what the Bible teaches. One does not go directly to heaven or hell after they die, but they will sleep in the ground until the second coming of Christ. Check out the websites I have listed. They will show you what the Bible really has to say about hell and death...they get all of their answers straight from the Bible.
God bless!

lol my roomie and I have this discussion a lot. He's not really sure about hell..and he's a solid christian, and Im pretty sure it exists and Im a total backslider. lol.

In his defense though I know the original translation for "hell" was often Sheol and/or the "bossom of abraham". Which conotated a very different idea of what hell is than today. Though revelations does talk about a Lake of fire - a lot of christians believe this to only mean a punishment specifically meant for the devil and not for human souls.

A lot of non-biblical work has also influenced our idea of hell - Dante's inferno is a primary one - check out the lithos in it and you will see what i mean.

Personally I do believe in hell though, although I wouldnt call my roomie an apostate, lol.

If there is a positive for negative, a hot for cold, an up for down, a black for white...

If there is a place of bliss in the next world, it remains that there must also be a place of torment.

The world is going there... though they quickly discount all such talk as foolishness. It's those who don't believe in hell, that go there!

I believe there will be a hell. It is what will happen to sin when Jesus comes. His brightness will zap sin--and people who cling to sin--and it will purify the earth.

Yes. I realize there is an apostate church in the last days.

Do you realize God has a bride--His church--also in the last days?

Hell is VERY real. It's as real as the computer in front of you. I don't know where these liberals get their ideas. Read the Bible. It is the truth and it clearly says it's a real place.

Jesus talked about hell and Revelation talks about the Lake of Fire....of course I believe in a hell. I read the bible....NKJV, NASB, NLT, HCSB, KJV, CEV, NIV....in this order for most used bible translations. NWT and Mormon bible are cult bibles.

Are you inferring, through those quotation marks, that they aren't real Christians? Because they are, just as anyone who does believe in hell. They believe in God and Jesus; isn't that the only thing that matters, other than behaving properly?

Use-me,
I have never heard of such a creature. I thought that anyone who called themself "Christian" would have better sense than that. Have a wonderful weekend.
