Ok, I'm going to become a freshman this fall, but I don't know what to major in. I have many choices and I can't seem to narrow down to one. There are so many things I want to do, can someone help me out?

Here are my choices:

*Acting
*Writer/Songwriter/Journalist...etc.
*Engineering
*Psychology
*Entrepreneur

If you really can't decide whether you prefer acting or engineering, you probably need to look into your options a little more before making a decision! They are so different!

Seriously, the most common major for freshmen is "undeclared", so you are not alone. Once you get to school, they should have a Career Center of some sort on campus, and they should be able to offer you the tests you mention. Also, in terms of choosing a major, start taking courses in things which sound appealing to you. You will probably figure out quite quickly what a good direction for you would be.

You can take general classes and see what you like. I had the same problem, and I finally decided I wanted to major in film. Just do something that you know you would enjoy as a career and job after college.

Many Freshman start out undeclared. That way you can take your General Ed classes and see which area is of most interest to you.
Your HS should have aptitude tests available to you. Give them a call.
Good Luck.

im going to be a college freshmen this year as well and i was thinking about havin a set area where i already wanted to concentrate in. But then i thought about it...why limit myself to things i already know about. Take classes that help you see areas you havent taken before. you never kno what your true passion might be...
