I can understand a ten year old being confused by a sinful world.
The fact that sin and death are in this world does not shake my faith. It is a fact the Bible explain clearly.
I believe in God because I searched for truth and received a gift form God called faith and through faith God gave me revelation and I have a personal relationship with God.
I am indeed blessed to know God.

In large part, because I'm an optimist. Despite all the cruelties in this world, all the misfortunes (like family passing away), I still believe there's a God out there, that good will always overrule whatever "evil" is in this world. I don't understand God yet, and don't know if I ever will, because I can't comprehend why He would want to sit back and let *every* bad thing pass by without any small amount of intervention. Perhaps He's testing us. I don't personally believe that (it almost seems cruel), but my philosophy may suggest that God is not personal in the way we would hope. It seems as though He lets nature take its course, and events unfold as they would without His direct interference or direct guidance. He set a world into motion, and our actions and nature's course has carved a path for us that we won't always like. Will God still respond to prayers? I think He does -- I just don't understand how, yet.
It's easy to understand why you no longer trust, even believe in, God. But you are drawn back to this question, even years after these occurrences. Do you think you want to accept faith back into your life? Either way, good luck on your journey -- I hope you find what you are looking for.

3 things. 1: You need sadness to have happiness. Sometimes the only time you realize you need things is when your deprived of them. 2: The universe, earth, and life are made in such complexity that it's impossible it just got there by chance. It would be like saying paint was splashed on the Sistene Chapel ceiling and just made it look that way, except the earth has worse odds for just chance at least 50 times over. 3: I'm sorry for what happened to you, but I'll recite a small story. Jesus was walking on a street when he saw a blind man. The blind man asked if his disability was a punishment. Jesus said no, it's not always punishment, it's so that Jesus/God can heal you and you appreciate all you have afterwards better. I'm sorry about your family but God's love is more powerful if you take the time to seek it.

That really sucks that you had to go through that. I don't know what that is like except that I lost my mom last year. My dad is still around but he is just angry all the time and doesn't like anything I have to say. My mom and dad were adoptive parents.
My original mom left 4 kids when I as 2. By the time my father left us we were down to two kids (me and my brother) and he left us in an orphanage.
I am just saying these things so that you'll understand that I know that life can suck. By my original parents just up and leaving, I began to notice that anyone can leave you. The fact that they are mother and father doesn't matter at all.
By my second mother dying, it wasn't so hard. She had been suffering from Alzheimer's disease for a few years and it was her time to go.
But God promised that He would never leave me. And I believe Him. The point of Christianity is that we can trust God. And so I can. Because He wanted me ( otherwise there would be no Christians) I was able to believ in Him.
So if you WANT to know God, then He wants you. If you don't want to know God, then you cannot get to know Him. It works like that.
So everytime I wonder if God wants me at all, I try to think whether or not I want to know Him. And everytime I find that I not only want to know Him, but I really love Him. This has been going on for 20 years.
So hang in there, This won't last forever. If you want to know God, then God loves you. It's that simple. And I try to remember that I need to focus on Jesus in order to keep myself in line with God.
I hope that my story helped you. ( :

I've looked into the night sky, tasted the delights of 3 continents of this earth, smelled the grapefruit and the lemon blossoms of spring in California, heard the sound of Niagra falls, and felt the delight of a very special woman - and I agree with ancient King David who wrote in Psalm 14:1 and again for good measure in Psalm 53:1 "The fool has said in his heart there is no God." Consider the senses and acknowledge an Eternal who created them and put them in mankind to appreciate His infinite universe.

what I don't understand is why people blame God for their lives.Death is on our door step from the time we are conceived. No one escapes it. We all will die one way or the other.
I know at times it don't seem fair - I have lost two people whom I love dearly within 2 months of each other- but I didn't blame God for it.My grandmother live a long life she was 97 when she past - but I know she is in Heaven and I will see her again someday. She was a born again Christian as I am.
Then I lost my favorite cousin he was 55- he had lung disease didn't even know he had it. I miss them both dearly but I do not blame God for them making to Heaven before me.
It gives me more joy knowing they are waiting for my time to go be with them. Sometimes things happen because of the way we have lived our lives. And the choices we have made.
So if I were you please be very careful on those choices .
I know life can get you down - God never promised us a bed of roses here on earth- but he did promise that in Heaven.

Every one who was born IS going to die. This is a world we live in, not Paradise. God is just. He makes rain to fall on the good people and on the bad people, alike. However, He judges every man or woman according to his/her individual choices. I chose to believe in God because I know that the world had to be formed by somebody bigger and more powerful than you or I and who existed before our time and with power to exist after our time. I believe that people who obey God's word by living good clean lives because they LOVE and exercise peace, kindness, truth, patience and the fruits of God's Holy Spirit, will go to Heaven when they die. All of those who die do not just evaporate. The soul or their essence that made up their consciousness does not die, but goes out from their physical body. Even further, science supports the eternal nature of God: " Matter and energy can neither be created nor destroyed, but only changed in form." This is a characteristic of God (Father, Son and Holy spirit). Further, the Holy Bible tells all about God and my parents taught me that God is a spirit and that He is real. I choose to believe in God.for all of those reasons.

When bad things happen to people it is not Gods fault, everyone always tries to blame God. Its not Gods fault that we are exposed to toxins that make cancer, It is not Gods fault kids are mean and cruel. So why do people blame God all the time? I do belive in God and always will, when something bad happens i dont blame God I ask for his guidence to help me Through it. I do belive in God not because my parents told me to when i was a child but because i have seen the miracles God can do Through me my kids and my family.

I am sorry that all these sad things have happened to you! I know of several cases where tragedy has fallen on very nice and religious people! It happens every day around the world. For most people it is their belief in God that enables them to survive the tragedy. I believe in God because when nothing works when we need a miracle he is there. He gives us hope and praying to him brings me peace!

i have had too many personal experience with God to know He is real and He loves me...once we start blaming God for bad things that happen in an imperfect world it plays right into the hands of satan...you become more focused on the bad things that happen in life rather than Him...you lose focus...God never promised life would be easy, He only promised He would never leave you...
