Just thinking. If some Christians says that they're the only ones going to be saved (and everyone else is going to hell), and they have verses from the Bible to prove it.

And then another group of Christians says that they're the only ones going to heaven (and everyone else is going to hell), and they have verses from the Bible to prove it.

Doesn't that mean that everyone's going to hell according to the Bible?

(just sparking some thoughts, no harm intended)

According to the Bible, "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Romans 10:13

Sad that more aren't taking God up on His offer.

There is only one set of rules for Christians and they are very clear. These are often taken out of context by those attempting to demonize or invalidate the Bible. The bottom line is that we will be judged fairly. Hell is simply the eternal separation from a God that we rejected while on Earth. Ignorance is not an excuse.

The bible is pretty clear in who is and who is not going to heaven. But there are groups of people who bend and reword verses to support their own opinions. And other groups who either take books and verses out of the bible or just write their own entire versions to fit their beliefs.
The bible says that "All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God" - no one can get there on their own because all have fallen short.
It also says "No man can get to the Father except through me" - Jesus speaking
And thirdly:
"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. "
It is faith that God paid the price for your sins so you could go to heaven, and that if you ask Him He will wash you completely clean from them, making it so you can go to heaven.
It is for everyone!

No. Because any Christian that claims that they are the only group going to heaven is in for a surprise whenever either a.) They're not alone or b.) They're not allowed.

The Bible is clear that those who believe in Christ as their personal savior will go to heaven, and those who reject Christ will be separated from God for all of eternity.

A more accurate statement would be the King James places everyone into hell, metaphorically speaking.

It is written, "The plan of God makes no sense to the carnal mind. To him it is foolishness and can make no sense to the spiritually blind." The only acceptable sacrifice under the Old Covenant with man for sin was the shedding of blood from an innocent animal who was without blemish. This only covered the sin, however, and kept the wrath of God from completely annihilating us. Therefore, He sent His only begotten Son into the world to take our punishment and to die for our sins. Anyone who believes in Him (and that He died for them, in their place) shall be saved from the wrath of a holy God. Everyone sins, but he that does not have the atoning blood of Christ upon them is under god's wrath.

No. According to the bible, no one but God knows who's going to hell.

Everyone who has rejected God and His provision for their salvation.

Romans 1
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.

then their faith is based on the bible. they have forgotten that before the bible, the Church was already established when Jesus was resurrected and he apointed Simon Peter to head the Church. Roman Catholic faith is based on the passion and death of our Lord. that was how humanity was saved from sin. everybody will be saved as long as people ask for forgiveness...
