Wrap a couple of elastic bands around the rim they will give you the extra grip you need.

Since I'm assuming you want it now turn it upside down in your hand & smack the bottom a couple of times with the heel of your hand. Then turn the lid.

If that doesn't work turn it upside down in your hand again & take a butter knife. See the small spaces of glass between the underside of the lid? Take the butter knife, work it under the rim a little all the way around, pulling the knife up & away from the jar as you go. At some point you'll usually hear a small sigh of air. Now try it.

It's worked everytime for me and I have a weak wrist.

Take a sharp knife and pierce the top of the lid. This will break the seal and make the jar easy to open. Also the hole in the top of the lid is so small it does not effect the storage of the food inside.

I hate when that happens--usually, I just take a butter knife (since it's not sharp & has a heavy handle) and tap around the permiter of the lid several times with the knife's handle. It dents the lid a little bit & losens it up so you'll be able to get it off. Just be careful not to hit the jar too hard and be careful, you don't want the jar to break.

Tilt the jar sideways and then tap it on the side of your counter (the lid!). Sometimes that will help loosen it. Don't miss and hit the bottle on the counter or you'll have a big mess...you can also wrap a towel around the lid and try opening it. That will give you a little more grip. Otherwise, find a man that is strong.

Give the edge of the jar lid a sharp tap with a wooden spoon, this will break the vacuum seal and allow you to turn the lid.

Run the lid under hot water, then use a rubber square to remove the lid. You can buy rubber squares and circles from most shops for removing tight lids. Failing that use a washing up glove.

find something small and hard enough to wedge between the top and the jar. (i have a pair of kitchen scissors with small metal tabs on the tops of the handles for this) try and push the top up to let air into the jar. once you hear air being sucked into the jar, it should be easy to open.

Take a butter knife and tap the edges of the lid and it will stretch the lid enough to break the seal and open it.

Take a butter knife and tap it around the edges of the lid. You can also pry up a little around the edges with the knife. If it's still tough, use a rag to get a good grip on it.

Hi there fsds s, You simply need to use a very sharp pointed knife to stab a hole in the lid of the jar, this releases the air pressure then you can open the jar with ease.
