I read some where that a little over 80% of American citizens were born here in the US. I will try and find the link. So... I'd say roughly 15 - 20%????

My community has twenty odd districts of which one is called
Little Saigon. Nearly all the residents paid cash to accept title
and the sequence of purchase was rapid after about 10 years
of employment residence in seafood processing minimum wage positions. They simply ignored other purchases (Auto's, electronics, fancy digs, etc.-etc.), lived quietly, and then flooded into a newly opened subdivision so they could renew certain cultural standards. About 75 households spread off 5 north-south streets beside the Pacific Ocean. Most bicycle. Their children usually copy parent work ethics.

According to Federal Census the principal county-wide alien population is from Mexico but don't recall number. It is berry
and dairy agri-business.

Like Gillian, I, too, live in a tiny CT town. Less than 1% are foreign born here. However, in nearby Danbury the percentage is much, much higher. The estimate there is about 20,000-30,000 illegal immigrants and 80,000 residents in the general population. Most immigrants are from Brazil and Peru. Danbury has the largest poplulation of immigrants from these areas of any city it's size in the U.S.A..

Not very high, I live in a more rural tiny town in CT. Where I work(a neighboring small town), there is one person on the staff of about 80, he immigrated from Italy as a boy.

Although indirectly, we all are decendants of immigrants. One of my great grandfathers came from Ireland and the other from Austria.

This country would not be the free land we know and love without immigrants, however, immigrants must follow laws and become citizens and learn to communicate in English, like every immigrant before them! They must get jobs and pay taxes and help build our economy by keeping our money here. Once they do all of these, we can call an immigrant a citizen.

way too many!!!!!!! and they come to my small town and talk stupid to my kids which this day and age you cannot do!!!!!!!!! they also move in and then stand at the end of my driveway and stick their tongues out and flip us off and tell us how stupid we are. i personally am sick and tired of foreigners coming in and thinking they can do things here. they should go back to where they came from!!!!!! you know i never used to be prejudice but i am sure starting to get that way. we have blacks which i LOVE!!! the kids come to my house they use their manners they say please and thank-you and are very polite. the mexicans that are in my town use bully tactics and talk about drugs to my kids, the portuguese have no clue how to use manners and i highly doubt they ever will. there is another family from i am not sure where but they look like iraq. they told my son he was going to blow up and have rainbow colors shooting out of his neck!!!! what a bunch of freaks!!!
