When I was 15 I met a boy at a basketball game. I went home and told my mother and father I was going to marry him.
I went away for a week on a family vacation and when I returned we hung out for the first 3 days I was back. On the fourth day I told him I liked him.
We've been together ten years and we are married.

Oh, about 4 years and I did, I think tell them. I was confused, ect and come out the wrong way and then we both were confused. Nothing happened but a very passionate kiss and then nothing happened. We talked passionately for a few months but nothing happened. We were both with other people. The moral of this story is: Don't wait , the longer you wait the more likely that you will be in love forever but not with them. It's going on 8 years.

My husband and I started out as good friends, and it didn’t take long for things to get the tension of mutual admiration and attraction. No, it never seemed like the right time and I found myself trying to make opportunities by steering conversations in particular directions. The clincher ended up being a formal event we were both invited to and we were both single. He escorted me, and it was an opportunity to move things a bit further (later on) as we now had a shared in a serious situation that built trust. Opportunities are not easy to find, if it’s important make them happen.
It took about a year full circle from the initial friendship to the fist declaration of attraction.

I waited about 1 month. I had feelings for him for the longest time but didn't know how to tell him. Well we had gotten into a really bad argument and I left being so mad at him. The next day I called him over and told him that we needed to talk and I was trying to tell him how I felt but I couldn't find the right words to tell him that I loved him and just as I was about to tell him he told me that he loved me. He said that he had been wanting to tell me that for the longest time but he was afraid that I didn't feel the same way...who knew?
We've been together for 3 1/2 yrs. now and have two beautiful children.

If you're talking about asking out a crush then here's my advice. The more you hang out w/o making a move the greater chance she'll think you're just a friend. And if "just a friend" suddenly has sexual feelings for a girl she will probably freak out and start avoiding you. That's what they've done to me.
If you're talking about saying "I love you" to your girlfriend the first time, then I can tell you that a lot of people claim to know what it's like to be in love and really don't. If you're in love and it's mutual you won't have to say it to tell her. You'll be able to simply look into each other's eyes and... you'll just know. Both of you. It's not really something you can explain.

I was always real with people and as soon as I felt the time was right I told them whatever I needed to. If it freaked them out, then I guess it wasn't the right time...oh well! But I tell people how I feel when I'm ready not when they are.

i waited until 2 days after we "accidentally - on purpose" kissed. after that i realized all the feelings i had for him and that i was in love and came to find that he felt the same way about me. this happened last year on 7/9 && now he's in college so we're not together but we're unofficially engaged. 6 years from now we're planning on getting married. i couldn't be happier... well maybe i could but it's good enough as it is right now =]

Send them a "Hi" card. Then get a little more romantic with the cards. Women love cards. Then when asked about them tell her they express how you feel better than you could yourself.
