To be safe, I would wait a bit on the frontline type medications, and would avoid flea shampoos. There is a pill available from the vets called Capstar which is safe for small kittens. It kills the fleas but does not protect against eggs, etc. It can be used every day and is really effective when you also comb frequently with a flea comb.
When you are sure your kitten is old enough for the more comprehensive medications, you will feel better about using them.
Good luck with your little one.

I think it would be safe to go ahead and use it if the kitten is alert and running around like a normal 8 week old kitten. If it's still wobbly, I would call my vet to be sure.

You can take him to the vet and get him defleed...(shot)
or you should have adoption information if you got him from a foster home or an animal shelter and then you can confirm wether he's 8 weeks yet or not.
and if you found him then its probably okay, but the shot lasts a while, and if you haven't yet you should get him completely up to date with shots, as well.

whilst our kin went to a campground we stumbled in this lovable ill little 8 week previous kitten. She became into flea coated, ravenous yet human beings loving. Our kin had additionally stored a cat some years in the past yet she died a pair years in the past on the previous age of 15 so we took the kitten residing house and wiped sparkling her up. 100s of fleas got here off of her as quickly as we gave her a tub with toddler shampoo and he or she even purred. Its became into so unhappy. After spending around 3 hours cleansing her up she became into greater loving then we even imagined. We took her to the vet day after today. She is now 7 months previous and has long gone from weighing a million a million/2 pounds to a healthful and tall 6 pounds. you're able to feed your kitten olives kitten meals for 0-3 years. before everything we tried Purina. She liked it in spite of the shown fact that it gave her terrible gas so we switched to olives. you're able to feed him water in basic terms, they don't have a particular gland that human beings have for digesting milk and it may supply him an disillusioned abdomen. the comparable is for canines additionally. And for now all you're able to do to maintain the fleas away is to maintain him interior because of the fact he remains to youthful for flea pictures and that i do no longer advise flea collars. they do no longer paintings and the kitten might have allergies. stable luck including your kitten!

You need a flea comb (you can get it at wal-mart or any pet place) you brush your cat and the fleas get stuck in the comb. It can be used for any cat at any age. just make sure to kill the fleas that get caught.

Try to hand pick the fleas ...you can also try using a flea comb (available at most pet store and sometimes supermarkets)..you can also check with your vet to see what they recommend for flea control when you take it for a check up and its shots.......
