Notice it says to leave alone nonmuslims, it does not say to kill them. What do you think of this?
"Leave alone those who take their religion to be mere play and amusement, and are deceived by the life of this world. If the transition from here into a better hereafter is what we considered to be a "successful life", then I strongly believe that MOST DUES are to be paid here and advance.
However, some of my personal beliefs also rely on a "fair and just" station, or form of existence, in the next realm. Either through ascension/transformation/enlightenment, karma/reincarnation, or whatever we wish to call the phenomenon.
