I prefer the traditional teachings of the Latter Day Saints and am sad that the church has left the truth of Prophet and President Brigham Young. Actually I would be happy with just three or four wives:) Are the FLDS taking new members? They still follow the teachings of Joseph Smith and Brigham Young (like LDS used to)!

The world is wicked and so are many of the Saints. The church is not permitted to have sacred truths and doctrines. The Lord can give but He can also take away. The gospel is for the pure in heart not for the wicked and wordly. Look at the changes to sacred temple ordinances. Wordly Saints indulge in perversion and wickedness but claim to be offended by the holy initiatory ordinances. Hypocrites. The church is still true. There is apostasy within the church, even among some leaders, but the church will remain upon the earth till the end. Joseph and Brigham were true Prophets and the truths they taught were from heaven. The wicked can't stomach the truth, they want fables or at best nursery level truths. And thats exactly what they get. All of this was foretold by the early general authorities. Brigham said you wouldn't be able to tell a Saint from a blackleg (wicked gentile). J. Reuben Clark said that that when the secret combination was revealed there would be many vacant positions in church leadership from those traitors who have supported the conspiracy. Stay in the LDS church. Be an example. You can still know the truths taught by Joseph and Brigham. You just can't teach them to others. It was the same in Moses day. Thats why he had to concoct the figurative Adam-the-Mud-Pie-Man story. They couldn't accept the truth then. And they can't today.

I think the Yahoo Princess is right. Al, get a better disguise next time!

And the FDLS do NOT follow Brigham Young...they stick with what Joseph Smith said. Get your Church History straight!

President Benson cites President J. Reuben Clark's warning that, "'we stand in danger of losing our liberties, and that once lost, only blood will bring them back; and once lost, we of this church will, in order to keep the Church going forward, have more sacrifices to make and more persecutions to endure than we have yet known. . . .' (CR, April 1944, p. 116.) He also stated that if the conspiracy 'comes here it will probably come in its full vigor and there will be a lot of vacant places among those who guide and direct, not only this government, but also this Church of ours.' (CR, April 1952, p. 80.) (Conference Report, April 1972, Ensign, July 1972, p. 61; as quoted in God, Family, Country, p. 323; quoted also in The Teachings of Ezra Taft Benson, p. 107; again on pp. 658-659.)

I am guessing that you are not serious, since you would not be so flippant with polgamy. Seeing that it is an essential tenet in FLDS in getting to heaven.

Yes the FLDS is taking new memebers, but they are wary of outsiders. Just look up Colorado City. That is their main town - and everything is run by the FLDS. They can't even get bank loans from outside banks. Which means if the town runs out of funds for your house then you don't have a completed house.

I suppose if you would like to believe that Adam is G-d as Young teaches then you would be happy in Colorado City.

I don't know for sure what you're referring to when you mention "left the truth" or what you mean by FLDS. If it's what I think you're referring to, then one of TrueLDS' teachings is "Obey the law of the land". Polygamy may have been necessary for that time but it's now illegal. Please don't humor me with uneducated bantor. And don't overburden yourself with even one wife.

Just take a trip to Colorado City, Utah and ask them. Bet they kick your butt out of town! They don't like competition for their women, from wat I've heard.
