It is possible that the DVD format in which the files are converted is not recognised by the DVD player. U take another DVD and burn it using Nero Vision 2007. Download the trial version from nero & search for crack. The latest version of Nero is 7.10.x.x Download the version for which the crack is available. U can find the version on other websites, not nero.com

Normal DVD players expect to find the video in very particular format which packages the video together with the menu information. Some players are able to browse regular data DVDs and CDs and play some types of video, audio, and picture files (like MPG, DivX AVI, MP3, jpg).

Your DVD drive should have some with some kind of DVD authoring software. If the videos aren't already in a DVD compatible format (MPEG2), when you import them they'll have to be converted which could be (very) time-consuming. Add menus and titles, then "author" which will compile the video(s) and menus into the ifo and vob files that go in the VIDEO_TS folder on a DVD. You can probably burn directly from the program, or output the VIDEO_TS files or a disc image for burning with another program.

Did you burn the disk like it should and finalize it?

Sometimes a standalone DVD player will not play a DVD because the disc is incompatible/cannot be read. I've had this happen to me. A DVD won't play on an older player but perfect on a newer one.

Go to http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers to look up your player and see if there any comments on disk that will/will not play.

There are also tutorials on that site which can show you how to burn an actual DVD, even with freeware programs.
