I have a job so I can pay for college. My store recently went under new management. I told my new managers that I go to school and they told me they will schedule where they feel like it and my school interfers with them. I took a job so I wouldn't have to take loans. I recently took out small loans (i.e. $1000 per year). If I'm about to graduate in 2-3 years and I take these loans. Should I just quit my job and not get another one till I graduate? Also are student loans a big pain to pay back?

I personally feel you should quit that specific job and maybe see if you can find another one that works with you, maybe something on campus as a student worker, where you have access to materials and Internet.
Whenever there is a job unwilling to work with their employee’s and they tell them that they will not work the schedule to meet their needs, that is really a bad place to be honestly. The breakdown that I get from that is they are willing to sacrifice your future, if you let them, so they can make a little more profit for the year. Your goal is to take care of your future, not the current company you are working for. I guess that's the difference between a career and slave labor.

Why not just get the loan and repay it back when you get a good job. You dont even have to pay them back until like 9 months after graduation. You can live good while in college and whats $200 a month for a $10,000 loan? The job might intefer with your school. Remember, your education is more important than the job. Quit the job, thats what the loans are for take advantage. Your lucy, some people dont even qualify for loans.

What do they expect you to do? Quit school? Find a different job. Student loans are really hard to pay back because if you take out 40,000, and take 10 years to pay it back at $700 a month, then you end up paying a total of 86,000 because of interest.

I had a job for the first year, and then just work studies, and then just loans. I decided it was worth taking out the loans because that gave me way more time to spend with my family.

Your education is more important right now than a job that does not have enough flexibility to schedule you so you can attend classes. I think you need to find another job that does.

Student loans are not that big of a pain to pay back. Just work out a budget with them for a monthly amount that you can handle comfortably. Meanwhile, don't quit working, but find a job that is more student friendly. Good luck!

Yes, they're a big pain to pay back. Take out as few loans as possible. Find grants that don't have to be paid back or apply for scholarships. If that fails, find another job that has a more flexible schedule. I know that's not easy to do either, but you won't regret it in the long run. If you absolutely have to take student loans, it is better to do that in lieu of getting credit cards. Credit cards will ruin you.

Any loan is a big pain to pay back. If it's not too hard on you to go to school and work, I say do it. You will thank yourself when you're all done. Look for a job where they will work around your schedule...there are lots of them out there.

What I did was work during the summers. I temped, making 12 to fourteen dollars an hour. I have held a part time job through school, but I find it very hard to focus. I suggest, getting the loan, and live off of it. The focus should be on school.
