i would have called the police.......you have a right to know if someone is a sex offender.....and i would see why he doesnt have to be registered. but i would move away if i was you. your childrens safety should mean more to you then your money or credit issues (if thats why you cant move is money) i would stop paying my rent to move somewhere els.

Dont listen to your neighbors... people gossip ESPECIALLY in the closed quarters of a trailer court. before freaking out you need to get the official story, you obviously have Internet so look on your state corrections website for sex offenders in your area (there are probably plenty that you didn't even know about) if he is not in there and has not registered and in fact IS a sex offender then that would be parole violation, and if he is not on parole it is still against the law, You can probably do an inmate search on the state corrections site and find out of the man was imprisoned for ANYTHING and if he hasn't been imprisoned then chances are he is not a sex offender, you may also simply call the police non emergency number and try to get info regarding your neighbor. Dont think he is going to start going around humpin everything he sees just because he was banging on his car. Men do this when mad at their vehicle. plain and simple. you should probably just calm yourself down and get the facts before making a judgment on someone like that. If you are scared, do some research, educating yourself of a situation can put your mind at ease or give you the knowledge you need to take the next step. good luck to you.

You have every right to be concerned........BUT.......
Simply because others have told you he is a sex offender, does that make it so? For all you know the people who told you of this might have a grudge against him and are out to ruin his name.
Did you see him outside of your door? Or are you only asuming that it was him? If you seen him then call the police.
Even if he is a sex offender, people can be labeled that for many reasons. From small things such as flashing people to rape of course.
Yes, its good to be concerned, and you probably should ask a police officer what to do. But dont jump to any conclusions without any strong facts.

If you feel strongly in danger i'd call the police. Don't jump to conclusions though. I think you have a right to know if someone next door to you is a sex offender so try contacting the police and asking them.

if you have two kids, and you are scared, CALL THE POLICE...it never hurts to call if you are genuinely scared. Do it, if you don't you could seriously regret it. If they came and there is no sex offender, at least your mind will be at rest. for your safety and your children's, please call the cops. a couple months ago, i heard an incessant knocking on my door at 8:00 p.m. , i got scared and i called the police. They came around and found the guy and got him to leave the neighborhood and they were of great help! cops are there to help, even if you're not sure the person's a sex offender, still call!!

Call the cops if its that bad. (Maybe he was needing help to start his car). He has got to be registered if he is a sex offender (federal law). The only way to get off of this kind of charge is to be found not guilty of the charges. Make sure that your neighbors are not just saying it cause they don't like the man. He could then take them to court for slander and defamation.

Sex offenders may live wherever they please, though some can't live within certain distances of schools, etc. They should register though, so I can't imagine how a lawyer could get someone off of a list if they're convicted. Police can be called for suspicious behavior, and maybe if he saw them roll by, he'd cool his jets.

Call the police and they will probably send someone out to take a report. Tell them your story.
Talk to the manager and tell them your story also.
If you have any problems, call the police again. As many times as is necessary.

Sometimes the courts have their docket records online. If you know his first and last name you can check to see if he has been charged with anything. Try your county website.

And try not to call the police until it is really an emergency. Dont cry wolf.

If he is not registered, he is not a sex offender. Perhaps your neighbor is just spreading rumors.
