Let me put it this way from past experience.....the other person could be sitting there wondering why you aren't calling. What "could have been" never will be if you don't give it a shot and see if this is what happened. Been there done that and later found out that the other person figured I was not interested and so we both went our separate ways. What a mistake that was.
BTW, I am confused about one part of your post...
Your main ?? says "do you try calling her?" but in your explanation it says, "I have the urge to call him."
Not that it really matters I suppose. Just found it odd.
In any case, call and see. If she/he blows you off at least you won't be going through life wondering.

Guy - I think you should be asking a woman this question, in that guys are from mars and girls are from venus. You don't know us girls.
Women would rather have a guy instigate the call. Whether she is still on the same page as you waiting by the phone for you to call or whether she has moved on...is the question she deserves to answer.
When I date guys...I'd like them to instigate the calls until I get to know them better, and even if I have moved on and choose not to pursue more dates...the guy calling me will allow me to answer his question...more dates or not?
Be a man...call her and ask HER the question. The rest of us can only guess at this. We are not her. She's probably waiting to her from you...and even if she is not waiting for you, she will give you her answer. It's summer...maybe she went on vacation. Us girls have a tendency to do that...then again, we've learned not to wait by the phone and to enjoy life. Guys who don't call aren't interested...so back into the world we go.

I don't think you're missing anything. Sometimes people just get busy. I would call him and say something like " Hey, I heard you were back and just wanted to thank you again for the great dinner" Then make a date with him so you can make him dinner.

Let it be. There is no excuse for not having even a minute to call and just say hi. If she was interested she would have called already. But since odds are your going to call anyway, when you get her voice mail, and you will because she will know your number, just say you wanted to know how she is doing and you wanted to say hi.

Never hurts to call her...the worst she can do is make excuses to get off the phone or blow you off. OR, she has been waiting for you to call her all this time and could be thinking the same thing you are...should I call him or not?....If you don't call, it will always be bugging you down the road....good luck....

Did you try to call after the date? If not then you have made the mistake and made the other person think you aren't interested.
