To answer your question:
You need a disk. One probably came with your computer, and you probably lost it or threw it away. Not much you can do other than buy a new one.

To answer the question you didn't ask but would if you knew enough to:

http://ubuntu.com

It is free, and it is a lot better than Windows XP or Vista.

Your old computer most likely had a progfam in it to creat the XP disk and you never did that. So, at this point, you will need to get a disk and format/reinstall XP. (Vista takes over so much of the system that formatting is the best way to ensure your XP installation goes well.)

Be sure to back up your files etc on adisk or flash drive before you format.

First response: Yes, Ubuntu is good.. not what this person is looking for.

Second response: Stay away from computers

An answer you can't go wrong with: The only way is to format the comptuer and reinstall Windows XP.
