I am a newcomer to Yahoo Answers. Since participating for the past few days, I am now convinced that the Internet will be the downfall of many souls who otherwise would have never been willing to voice their lies and slanders, slanders for which they will one day give an account.
I am convinced there are no more evident sign of the degradation of man and his hopeless condition than the proliferation and even exaltation of cowardice via this forum.
I am further convinced that many others are being led astray in honoring or following the anonymous siren songs of comfortable cowards who, in another age, would not have dared to lift their heads or their voices before real men of honor.
It is a Sign of the Times, and it is sad to behold.

fireboss226, must you so soon prove my point? I am new to Yahoo "Answers" not to Yahoo.

YES. I see idiotic rererepeated copy paste questions based on false assumptions of others, with no true thought or query, spat out simply to pass the time or insult others.
That said, I do still answer some questions here based on the assumption that someone might actually be wanting to learn something.

When people act like that, yes it is sad. But something else that is sad is when a person can't find anything Good in it, as a whole... but would rather point out all the bad that is going on, making it seem like that is all there is. For all of the silly antics, insulting people, belittling responses, there are some good people here. There are a few who will respond with some intelligence and are not out to belittle others or take advantage of the situation while claiming to be "more" than what they appear (true colors always shine through).
I am completely convinced that you get out of things like this forum exactly what you put into it. If you see nothing but negativity and reflect nothing but that.... then... that is all you are ever going to get from it.

Are you the same kind of convinced as the church was when Galileo and Copernicus brought forth their theories of a heliocentric universe?
All must give an account of themselves before the great whatever, and that includes those who would rather curse the darkness than light a candle, or 'be the miracle'. There are many forms of cowardice in this world and on these forums.

The internet can also be used as a tool to promote God's word . Some people are never exposed to the real truth about God and the Bible. That's why they don't have anything good to say about it. Let something bad happen to them and see who they call on or blame. Give them a positive exposure
and teach them the good things about religion. Let God's Grace work through you. Not through disharmony.

Your profile is interestingly worded...I would like to know more about your agrarian lifestyle if you don't mind emailing me. Not all on here are so depraved and close minded. There is a lot of evil but then there is good. You have to choose what to listen to and believe. There is a spiritual battle even on the internet...but God is bigger and He has already won the battle!

now, i can only speak for myself, but, i don't lie. period. i don't need to. as far as things which are opinion, everyone has one, if you don't like that, then perhaps you should avoid places where they are on display. as far as slander, if i ever should slander anyone, i'll take responsibility for it. however, i am offended that you should feel any concern for that. my opinions and utterances are mine, and if you want to read them, great. if you don't, great. if you read them and disagree, great. if you agree, also great. i truly don't care. i've wound up in correspondance with a couple of people, who felt that they needed to let me know they didn't approve of my opinions. whatever. one is permanently blocked, one i've added to my network thingie (all the better to keep up with his opinion i don't agree with) if mankind, or any individual is indeed 'degraded' that isn't your affair. and your sanctimonious parsings aren't of interest to those who you probably intend as their target.
you are entitled to agree or disagree with anyone you want, in fact i'd venture that you are even encouraged here, in this forum. it's safe.
as far as the sign of the times..... you have the option of shutting your eyes, or looking elsewhere.
take care!!!

I don't know about anyone else but I've had these debates in churches. I would raise my head high anywhere to any one and say what I say on here.
It's your type that were taught to bow to others.

I agree. R/S is intended to discuss religion. It is not a vehicle to spout bigotry and lies because some idiotic religious book says so.
