Read the books written by Dave Ramsey. Money is not meant to be put before God, but God does like to see us prosper ONLY if we use part of the proceeds to help his church. Start by eliminating debt, and begin investing a little each month. Avoid un-necessary spending and purchases that are more about impressing people than filling your needs and give generously to your church. Follow these paths, and you will be on your way.

Remember 10% of your income belongs to you not the butcher or baker or landlord. Put it up to grow and leave it alone. It's amazing how fast one can accumulate money. Remember it is easier to put a camel through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get to heaven.
