There are no shortcuts. Time is the only cure. You metabolize 1 beer per hour. Nothing will get it out of your system faster no matter what anyone might recommend. So called remedies only make you THINK you're ok. Stay put or risk the consequences.

Have someone else drive, but make sure they are sober, not just saying so. End of story. You want to be alive and make sure anyone else is alive as well. I have heard too many horror stories.

In order not to have a hangover, drink a bloody mary. I have no idea why but it keeps the hang over away. I would myself take two tylenol or ibuprofen for swelling and pain and drink a jello drink with no alcohol. That's a small jello in a 1/2 liter of water. Drink it all down. That will make the wooziness go away and the pain settle faster.

Your body metabolizes (and gets rid of) alcohol at a specific rate which can average out to one hour per standard drink. It is faster for a few, but usually slower for others....it depends on a lot of biological factors you have no control over for the most part. Some people had had limited success drinking water constantly and peeing like a race horse for a few hours. The important thing is to be able to drive responsibly, so don't even think about it for a while. Call a friend, call a cab, call your family. Where do you really NEED to go that is worth taking a chance?

A DUI is by definition driving under the influence of a performance altering substance. There are many tests that can be administered on the spot such as simple verbal and physical tests. There are also many tests available that would take a quick blood sample (such as a diabetic blood sugar test) or swab of the mouth to determine how much marijuana is in your system at a given time. The problem is that these more accurate tests are not widespread through police enforcement currently. As far as marijuana receiving a stiffer punishment? By clear definition it is no different than driving under any other mind altering substance and in my personal opinion is not nearly as bad as alcohol.

Don' t drive for at least 12 hours. There is no way to instantenously become sober, except to not drink in the first place.

When you start drinking you know that you are putting all other responsibilities on the backburner. Whatever it is, it will be there tomorrow. Let it go. Life goes on.

Don't drink and drive!

wait 3 days till all of the people have answered your question. By then it will have passed thru your system and you'll have better advice for next time.

Really...coffee, or drink lots of water so you pee and flush your system. Take a snooze, Have someone scare you, take a shower, eat alot of food-breads something to soak up in your stomach.

water and fast food. greasy burgers and fries always help a bit.

Good luck. I guess you could try coffee, but that always just makes me jittery and drunk.

Of course, if you have access, if you inhaled pure oxygen, it would completely eradicate all the alcohol in your blood...but most people don't just have an oxygen tank hanging around.
