In most schools, you can skip your junior year in high school.
You might have to talk to the councilor at your high school to see if they have any programs to skip a grade.
I know you have to work harder the summer after your sophomore year and your senior year to keep up with your credits.

Probably not. Since most high school courses cover dissimilar topics. For example, in lower grades, skipping grades is more feasible because the difference between 3rd grade English and 4th grade English is likely the level of understanding. However, in high school the topic may differ altogether between grades, with one being British Literature and the other US Literature. So even though you may do well in the subjects in one grade, this does not reflect knowing the subjects for the next grade. Besides, if you can do that well in school, you obviously have dedicated yourself to scholarly work. Maybe you should consider why you would want to skip a grade in the first place.

I think it's more common at the grade-school level, but an exceptional highschool student might be advanced a grade if his or her scholastic abilities exceed the level of comparable students in the same grade. High school generally offers more selection of subjects, so advancing a grade may not make that much difference, except to be able to graduate sooner. But I have heard of students completing high school in three years, and entering college at a slightly younger age than their contemporaries. When I went to high school, we had to have 32 credits in order to graduate. Normally, that's eight credits per year. But if you can handle more than that each year --with high grades, you might get out sooner. Talk to your school counselor or principal.

It depends on the school or the school district policies on promotion... Getting a grade of A meant earning the highest possible grade for a specific subject. To be promoted to the next level, you may be required to take a battery of oral and written test.
