Would that include newborn babies? I've gotta ask this, then, what kind of logic is that? Does that really make sense to you? Either way, this one would do her best to save your life no matter what religion you are. This muslimah knows her religion and her heart, and this muslimah also knows that seeing anyone in pain or saving somebody no matter who from death is one of the best things a person can do. And no, I don't want to convert anyone either. Just show true Islam, not the stuff the nutcase terrorists practice for political gains. What do you think of this verse?

"Say : O ye that reject Faith! I worship not that which ye worship, Nor will ye worship that which I worship. And I will not worship that which ye have been wont to worship, Nor will ye worship that which I worship. To you be your Way, and to me mine. (The Noble Quran, 109:1-6)"

Hello,

I deal with Islamic peoplesocially and in business. They have always treated me with respect, invited me to their homes for great meals and treated me like a king. I never have had a bad experience with one and often they have said prayers for me.

I do not disrespect their beliefs. As a Christian I know that when you are born into a religion you are taught from day one that your religion is the truth and way to God so woh-be-tide you if you apostasize and leave. My religion is no different on that note so I do not expect people of the Islamic faith to run to Christianity and convert any time soon... neither do they expect me to do that. I do not belittle or call Middle Eastern Muslims sand n words and though I support the existance of Isreal I certainly did not discuss it or bring the subject up; especially after some Lebanese friends I know lost family in the air raids last summer. Good manners and compassion go a long way.

That said, Muslims have the same feelings, aspirations, interests and hobbies just like the rest of us do. One has to use common sense. Out of 1.5 billion Christians and last count 1.2 billion Muslims you cannot in your wildest dreams that 99.99% are going to be honest, gentle and never want to harm anyone.

Cheers,

Michael Kelly

No. Muslims in America are much different from Muslims in the Middle East. Those that reside in America tend to be more moderate - they do not hold to the literal meaning of verses saying to kill all those who will not convert by faith or by sword. Or to kill all those that turn away from the faith after three chances are given.

And yes - these are real tennents written in the Koran. Regardless of how you take them, they still exist. And the potential for misuse and violence is still there.

Also, most Muslims here in America do not desire to kill innocents, or to take as many lives as possible in one sitting. They do not believe in suicide bombings and see it as the atrocity that it is instead of a holy act.

Unfortunately, those overseas are not always this way. People that grow up in the more radical sides of Islam are brainwashed to kill all those who are outsiders. They are forced to live in abject poverty and learn that the only way to obtain greatness is to kill as many unbelievers as possible while dying for the cause.

Not all Muslims wish harm on others. But there is an ever growing group that does. A sad fact but one that has to be dealt with. The threat is just not overseas but here in America and in Canada as well.

I am certain that the enormous majority of muslims do not.

The trouble is with teh muslim faith is that you are forbidden to give up your sisters and brothers to the infidels... so you remain the silent majority concealing real terrorists. True these are just my thoughts from my experience... but never the less.. it is very difficult to gain real co-operation to disrupt terrorist activities when civil people do not report it by reason of faith in the brotherhood/sisterhood.

The very first book in the koran speaks about little else than punishment and vengeance. A pitiful people need whipping every day and the cutting off of hands and tongues. This stubborn race of pathological liars is distasteful to me, and who can trust any of them beyond shooting distance?

No. But I don't think that it is a small part either. There are huge Hamas rallies with over 100,000. That leads me to believe that it is a majority in the Middle East.
