Dry and/or greasy skin due to poor oil composition of the skin. Thick greasy oils clog pores, lack of oil leads to dryness and irritation. You need thin oils to moisturize while dissolving and clearing gunk in your poors. Try fish oil or seafood. 2 tsp fish oil a day or 4 servings of seafood a week. Stick it out for at least 2 months; it will take a long time to replace all your oil. Any effect after 1-2 days is temporary or random; so even if it makes you break out a little at first, you haven't given it a full try yet.
In the short term you can wash and moisturize well, but that will only go so far. Plus excessive washing can be drying and excessive moisturizing can be clogging. Use a small amount of a light moisturizer, made with oil not jelly or grease. Often that means soybean oil or mineral oil. Mineral oil means mined from the ground. So soybean oil is usually better, though mineral oil won't cause too much harm. Clean with soap and water, not a harsh acne cleanser. Even then they only work so well. So you really need the seafood.
Antibiotics aren't really good for bacteria long term, they'll come back in force after. Short term they may help. After you get off them find some kefir with acidophilus listed first or 2nd to replace the friendly bacteria they destroyed. Studies show less illness when you have these bacteria, even outside the stomach in places such as the lungs and elsewhere. You want friendly bacteria to fill the void when the antibiotics stop, not harmful ones.
In the short term you might also try 100,000+ iu retinol vitamin A (a megadose, and too much for normal use) or one of the acne drugs that is similar to retinol vitamin A. It's some minor harm to your organs, but it helps against bacteria on your skin. At least it doesn't have the other long term drawbacks to your skin that antibiotics and many scrubs do.
If you would like to learn how to treat your acne permanently and regain your health and wellbeing, without drugs, without typical acne treatments, and without any side effects, then this will be the most important letter you will ever read.

Sorry but i dont think there is a remedy out there that fast. The most you can do is take away some of the swelling or redness. If its all over acne you need to dry it out. Clean your face really well with luke warm water. Pat it dry dont rub this will make it redder. Apply only if your not allergic to it...some lemon juice. Fresh lemon juice works best for me. Ive also used a egg yolk and made a mask. If its just one pimple that you have try using some Visine on it for the redness. Take a cottonball and soak it and hold it on the affected area. This is only something that i myself use. not sure if it will work for you or not. But it does seem to work for me. You may want to wait on the lemon juice thing it may irritate your skin more...it depends. Sorry theres no super fast remedy...i wish there was. Good Luck

Salt Water Cotton Ball Method THis method really works i do it all the time: So, get some cotton balls and a bowl. And fill the bowl with hot water half way and add salt into it so the salt can dissolve. and then add cold water so the water will become warm, make sure the water is salty becasue the key thing here is the salt. Afterwards you have made salt water. So now get the cotton swab and dip it in. And then put the cotton on ur pimple and leave it on for 5 minutes set a timer or something, It may sting just a tiny bit, but its fine. after 5 mintues you will see the pimple shrinking and starting to disappear. if still there you may need to do it several more times it varies on your pimple. Goodluck! it really does work!

You aren't going to get rid of your acne by tomorrow. If you can get to a drug store purchase a product that targets one blemish at a time, a concealer, a foundation and witch hazel (which is a gentle astringent). Look for a foundation that says it goes from "wet to powder". These foundations are in a compact and should be applied with a sponge. If you cannot find a "wet to powder" foundation, you should use an oil-free liquid foundation. I think Neutrogena has a good one.
Now, until you have to leave the house - wash your face several times with warm water but rinse with very cold water. The cold water will reduce the inflammation and the redness. It also helps to hold some ice on really red sore blemishes. Each time, after you wash your face, hold ice on your blemishes then apply witch hazel with a cotton ball. Then, apply the blemish cream to each blemish.
To get ready to head out of the house, apply the concealer lightly to the top of your blemish. Too much concealer draws attention to the blemish. After applying concealer, apply your foundation - again use a light touch because you don't want the foundation to cake up.
If you cannot get to a drug store, wash your face with warm water and rinse with cold water. Apply ice to inflammed blemishes. Take an EGG and remove the yolk. Apply the egg whites to your face and leave on for as long as you like. It won't dry your skin or cause inflammation. Wash egg whites off your face and repeat as desired.
When you go out try not to feel self consious about your blemishes. Everyone has breakouts from time to time. The blemishes on your face will be overshadowed by a smile so smile and enjoy yourself.
