Simple, just install a RF modulator unit. That takes your video and audio signal, and converts it to channel 3 or 4. for your TV to use. When you are not looking at the DVD turn off the modulator. Some modulators have an automatic sensor, so when you turn on the DVD player, it turns itself on. When you turn off the DVD player, it turns itself off, and lets the TV antenna or cable TV come through.

You will need a RF Modulator and a Transformer/Splitter. All found at Radioshack.
