me without even knowing who I am. I have submitted 5 questions today and I have been astonished to say the least. Not any of my questions have stated what religion I belong to or what my beliefs are, yet I've had several to criticize me. All the rude judgmental remarks via email or responses on this site have come from those that call themselves Christians. Regardless of what I ask or how I ask, it's the Christian man or woman that replies with the sarcastic answer. I'm not judgemental at all nor should any person be. I'm just simply on here for the entertainment and to learn about other religions, cultures, societies and so forth. Human behavior is interesting to me. Just because I read a lot about Buddha for wisdom and enlightment doesnt make me a Buddhist. If you find my questions "irrevelant", then simply ignore. For the intelligent nonhypocritical ppl that enjoy a debate or something amusing to ponder over, please continue to answer. Now, I would like to know what you believe in.

Ihalmiut, at what point did I generalize all Christians? Did I not state that I "had several to criticize me." I also stated that all the rude remarks had come from those that call themselves Christians. My email is posted for all to write to me but it's not my fault that I received hateful email from Christian people.

arewethereyet: I'm loving it. Complain! Sounds as though you're whinning about me and what I wrote. Funny how it states in Matthew 7 "Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." Also, have you read James 2:1-13? You should take note of this strong passage about judges with evil thoughts. No you don't know me at all but you're going to now. Can you handle that!

Thank you LadyPhoenix39. All is forgiven but it wasn't just your comment that I found to be negative. There were a few others that I ignored but 2 emails were absolutely uncalled for. Oh course, they are finding out who I really am now.

Hello Jola,
Yes, though Christian I must admit there are some Christians who are quite abrupt, rude and judgemental who do a much better job of driving people away than the Devil or Anton LaVey could have.
I agree it is important to educate yourself and study other religions as well. How can I get into their heads and expect them to understand me if I cannot understand where they are coming from?
Anyway there are over three hundred Christian denominations all claiming to have some monoploy on the truth so even if you accept Jesus as your savoir and join things shan't changs that much. You'll still get tons of flak about the pope being the anti Christ and worshiper of statues through to the conflicts of saved by faith alone or saved by faith and good works. The religion is so divided and has yet to get its act together. Like Christ says, pick the pole out of your eye before picking at the splinter in some one else's.
Regards,
Michael Kelly

My dear JoLa,
Clearly the "irrelevant" comment refers to me, and one of the previous questions. If you will go back to that question you will see that I added a notation explaining my response a bit more.
I thought about going through all the questions you have asked and looking to see what the Christians are saying to criticize you....and then of course I ran across the "irrelevant" thing and decided that you think I'm one of those "judgemental" Christians.
I try to answer questions with some amount of reason, although from time to time I must admit being amazed and sometimes annoyed at some of the things people say here. Yes, I have told someone on occasion that their behavior was 'pathetic' or that they clearly need help....but those sorts of comments are either for trolls, or typed quickly, with little thought, at the end of a long day, in response to what one would think would be either an obvious or a truly twisted question.
And yes, there are people who call themselves Christians and don't act the way they should. But I hope that I have always remembered that every person is God's child and worthy of His sacrafice and love. If my responses don't always reflect that, it is not a purposeful attempt to criticize and I for one apologize for any "Christians" who do not behave in a Christlike manner on YA, including myself.
I am not perfect, but I am forgiven.

Here's what I believe in - Old Dogs, Children and Watermelon Wine.
Seriously, I don't know what your other questions were - whether you were attempting to provoke something (I am not saying you were, but many do so here), but keep this in mind: not all who call themselves Christian really are. The sad thing is they don't even know they are not. They are really Pharisees - legalists who believe they were given ten fingers so they can wag them at all the bad people in the world.
I am Christian and I enjoy an interesting and respectful discussion with others: Buddhists, Atheists, other Christians and even Fundamentalists. OK maybe not fundamentalists as it is the rare fundamentalist who is willing to discuss anything. They prefer haranguing and brow beating.
So keep posting and just understand in the free market of ideas you will find a lot of different people.
God Bless.

I am a Christian and I have my own set of beliefs, people have the right to believe whatever they want to believe and no one has the right to tell them that they are wrong for believing that, it is not their place, most people that I know that claim to be Christians forget that the message from Jesus is love, there is not a rule that you can only love other Christians, it is to love everyone, but they forget that they are human too and begin to think that they are above everyone else, I am sorry that you had to endure with such harsh criticism, good luck dealing with small minded people who live in their small little world

I'm a Christian. I'm not God. I'm not perfect.
However, I agree that there are many Christians who judge. Many of the Christians believe they are here to tell everyone else what to do or how to think. Yet, God gave free will? According to the bible, Christians are to rebuke a friend if they know they are doing wrong...but it also says if someone doesn't believe the same as you, to respect them. So, they must be very careful on their judgments and rebuking for God will judge them with same attitude as they judge others!!

That's kinda sad that the Christians on here are doing that to you. In my opinion, they're not acting like true Christians.
Ya...I'm a Christian.
=)
Actually just recently I decided to become serious about my religion. I have been raised in a Christian home but I never went to church or thought much about my religion.
I started noticing that the more I prayed the more miracles God granted for me. I have been having family issues that have resulted in me completely thankful of having God in my life.
Ever since I started taking it seriously, I feel much better both physically and mentally.

I'm a Christian and I'm perfect. Well I was until I lied just now lol.
I don't know you, never read or answered a question from you, have no clue who you are. All I have to go on is what you've written above this answer. I can see from what you wrote that you like to complain and are not afraid to state what you feel ... you are just doing it in the wrong forum. So I can deduce from what you've written that you lack the political refinery to state your case to the most effective audience.
Is that judgemental? I suppose so, but God never said don't judge, He only said that we should judge according to how we wish to be judged. Weird how people always drop off the verse ending after the comma, they forget the verse goes "judge not, lest ye be judged in like manner". So feel free to judge me on my writings right back, I can take it. Can you? :)

After reading your questions I can't seem to find many judgmental Christians though it seems more than a few Atheist used the opportunity to take shots at Christians.
your questions do not seem insulting or harsh so I can't imagine why Christians would attack you in any way.
I believe in the one true god of Abrham the author of the Bible who sent his Son Jesus Christ to save all who will accept his atonement.

hi there
TIME 10:04PM I JUST GOT IN YAHOO ANSWER now 4 Ur question of the day .
what I believe in is due to things that happened to me in the
pass. I truly believe in GOD. Why cause of things that have
happened to me personally and my son Albert he is now 22
he was than about 1year old . I had a video tape to prove to
anyone that what I seen was true and a gift from GOD. but the
video somehow got lose while moving from place to place.
My so was born with what doctors say is a CLUB FOOT. HE HAD ONE FOOT SHORTER THAN THE OTHER AND IN A FORM OF A GOLF CLUB THAT'S WHY ITS CALL CLUB FOOT BUT WHILE IN CHURCH PRAYING THE PREACHER RAISE ALBERT UP AND PRAY I COULD NOT BELIVE WHAT I SAW HIS LEG GREW IN FRONT OF EVERYONE NOW ALBERT HAS HIS OWN FAMILY AND IS THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS SPORTS BOY FROM FOOTBALL TO WRESTLING .
I believe that there is a heaven and hell why? cause I seen
demons and have felt them trying to take me.
little things like this make me believe that there is something
so much bigger that we as humans could never understand
it's wisdom. Everyone believes in what ever they want no
matter there faith is one thing this earth has it's beliefs in
the most high no matter what culture we all are from GOD
